In 2020, Ohio State played a 6 game regular season that started in late October, where the two best teams they played were Indiana and Northwestern. Notre Dame played a crap ACC schedule, lost to Clemson who played an equally crap ACC schedule

And ugas 2021 schedule? What was that sad clown of a regular season schedule like?
even had a couple of Buckeye fan friends of mine ADMITTED this to me the next day

No you didn’t
lol all win a natty but Tennessee too
Two sides to every story, heisman also coached baseball Cumberland used pro athletes to beat his baseball 22-0, when he find out they illegally used ringers to skull drag his baseball team he wasn’t letting them off the hook a few months later during football season. He wanted to beat the cheat out of them and did.
So, same thing every other big name in college athletics is doing?

Not all, id say a majority are shopping around then weighing options. Now no one is playing for free but some are taking less cash(not significantly less but less) to play with players they like, coaches they bonded with, facilities, development etc.
I mean unless one of those said schools has a mark Cuban not sure it affects them. Texas tech fans are probably all thinking they’re next now tho.
This has News flash buddy! Vibes
I think Clemson and fsu would be a big ratings boost for big ten. Both are top 20 viewership in cfb the last 20 years, and the last 5 years. That’s with games against wakes, bc, Duke, Virginia, Syracuse. I would imagine their viewership numbers would ballon against better brands.
The best thing for the sec is status quo, the best thing for the big is to expand. The sec is probably trying to figure out what the big ten is planning before it makes a move. How proactive does sankey want to be? I don’t think you want to be in a scenario where the big turns in to a national conference with regional divisions but if they suck up all the big brands not in the sec. The media campaign and tv money would be hell to overcome. Questions is does the big ten want to do that
Ole Miss has the best uniforms in the SEC. At least to me anyways.

I’ve always thought ole miss had the best color combo but worst execution with it on uniforms in football
Saban, bear, rupp, that fourth spot probably has a lot of names that have a legit argument but I’d go outside the box and say Roy Kramer. I don’t think ppl have a true understanding of what his decision to add a conference championship game did for the sec. Before Kramer acc and big both paid more in conference distribution than sec. The arms race amongst sec teams backed by Kramers war coffer full of tv money led to sec domination of football and the rise of sec basketball.
Too many to count I’ve seen most every sec(never seen Texas or ou) and acc teams in person(never seen Smu, cal Stanford). I don’t believe I’ve ever seen any big 12 team or pac 12 team, I’ve seen Maryland from big ten, and so many fcs/midmajor I’ve lost count. My buddy is a press member and got a sideline pass for the 2018 natty(2019 Levi) and I had some aunts and uncles that had tickets. I didn’t go to game but went to Santa Clara for the weekend and tailgated.
That’s crazy okie st and Kansas are closer to the center of sec than unc Virginia or nc state. Imagine Raleigh NC being less sec than Lawrence Kansas by geography.
50% of tv viewership in college football comes from 18 schools, 90% viewership comes from 67 schools. Can we at least agree we need to cut fbs football from 138 to at least 67 before we go realigning conferences or changing playoff numbers and rules again.
I think you could hi lite wake and bc too
Prior to Kiffin Ole Miss was viewed exactly as Mississippi State.

That’s the problem I’m impressed by what he did at ole miss but it’s a different animal than an lsu type job. Most coaches at powerhouses proved it somewhere else lesser first too. Being the team that circles an opponent vs being the one circled is a different ball game. The pressures different motivations different. Win 9 games at ole miss you’re a god, when nine games at lsu……congrats you get to keep your job. Les miles was fired for records that’d get you a statue at ole miss.
I don’t think that’s true, attendance wise the big 12 has only byu in top 30. Acc has nc st Clem vatech and fsu in top 30. Unc Clem fsu and Miami also smoke the big 12 in tv viewership. They screwed up not making divisions regional. No one cares about wake forest vs bc. Nc state vs cuse. Or Pitt and Gt. Locally people cared about nc state vs duke, Pitt vs wvu. Never shopped any kind of streaming. Very poorly ran conference in general.
Fan apathy.

Look up how many ACC stadiums have home attendance in the top 25.

That would explain why the acc isnt on par with sec/big ten, but it doesn’t explain why the acc is making similar to big 12. The acc has three teams in the top 25 of home attendance and one in top 30. The big 12 has only byu in top 30. The acc was ran very poorly.
Not gonna lie gaining ou and Tex would be a kill shot for the big ten.
Notre dame has always tried to be an east coast school and avoid being seen as a Midwest school. That being said ND biggest rivals all reside in the big ten or acc. I think they’d choose big 10. Navy, army, Pitt, Purdue, Indiana, Mich, Mich st usc Gt Miami and Stanford are their biggest rivals historically. Most are big ten. The closest thing to a sec rival nd has would be gt
I don’t think geographical orientation has anything to do with it. I think it’s more the opposite of what you’re saying. The acc wasn’t split geographically it was zipper aligned. Which broke up regional acc and big east rivalries.
