re: Did Kiffin quit on his team

Blue bloods aren’t made over a 5 year period.

Everybody knows it’s 23 years… To be a blue blood. You have to be good every 5 or so years over 23 years. Facts

And yes he quit.

If I take another job, I have to quit my current job.

It’s been a shite show with the assistants trying to do two jobs, LK being at OM would have been this times 200%.

quote:

He was the coach at Ole Miss since 2020. Yes he assembled the current team.

Joe Biden was president for 4 years. Are we sure he was calling the shots?

the portal is going to be hard on you

Facts?

Were Lacy and Chambliss big names before Kiffin?

How big would they be if he has promoted them instead of being the story.

quote:

you are so lost in your anger i’m sure someone like me posting facts seems that way to you.

Bless your heart…: I’m not angry… and your babbling rants are far from facts.

You will see.
quote:

lol this is the new spin? if he didn’t do anything then why did you match any offer? here’s a tip, i know yall are jilted and were already fast and loose with the truth up there, but you may want to keep these talking points vaguely realistic.

Stability is the best option.

Let him chase tail, and fish, we had the process in place.

Be honest.. was this what you expected? We were told he was going to take all of our roster that he wanted. Even over paid for our running backs coach.

Maybe Leavitt will go with y’all. At this point you have to over pay to make sure that happens.

But these kinda post are sad really.

team he has assembled

Week into the portal being open. Are we really sure it was him assembling these teams? He’d show up to take a picture with them in front of a car then fly back to Boca raton.

quote:

He's only 50, imagine 30 years at LSU

You think he’s still creeping on coeds at 80?

I don't blame you one bit. The opportunity to do so is far and few between

It really isn’t
Worth 10 pts a game. 3rd most points in the nation.

Without him, OM is sitting at home with you right now.

Have you seen Coach Kiffin around campus yet?

I’m sure he was decked out in lsu gear!

You’d be making posts about your team playing for a NC.

O lots of those as well.

OM fans will never pass on lol'ing at LSU
quote:

He would have been decent at OM (relative to their historic standards) but not NC contender good.

He hates traditional recruiting. Not sure he could have built a roster that old way. Especially as we are learning he is not very well organized. Lebby Durkin kept it on track the first 2 years, and Golding since.
quote:

Any comparison to the pre NIL/transfer era are inapplicable. The game completely changed once coaches had the opportunity to add experienced starters at their leisure. That means the timeline for the expectation of success is expedited. My goodness, you have one of the worst programs in college football history, (Indiana) going 23-1 over the last 2 regular seasons and is the odds-on favorite to win the national championship.

Like it or not, patience is no longer a virtue

Lk would not have made it at OM without the portal. He hit gold with qb and WR play on offense, and usually found enough defense to make it work.
quote:

No he didnt. He had Matt Corral.

Corral was injured in sugar bowl, hurt his draft slightly, still drafted then got hurt pretty bad in pre season, was never able to bounce back.

He was absolutely a NFL talent.

Lane had Corral NFL draft, Dart NFL draft, and Chambliss who is Jaden Daniels like, Year 2 will be fun.

So yes, he had a NFL Talent at QB.

The "U" is pretty solid. Ask A&M, and Ohio State...

Both had a hard time scoring, A&M moved it on them.

Like our odds!

So rebs-yall going to show up in numbers or is the stadium gonna be all corporate sponsors?

It will be a lot of rebel fans there. If they pull it if off, I would expect Miami to be over run with OM fans. Complete take over.
quote:

Lane went 5-5 in his first season at OM.

Transfer portal and NIl was not going that first year. He also had a NFL Talent QB.

If he can find a QB he will be fine. Maybe not 10 win fine. The OL would be my concern. You better have a qb that can run around.
quote:

I'm pulling for y'all but I have to laugh that this hack is still around. What's his gig these days?

His biggest fault is being friends with LSU's biggest hack. Mascona....

quote:

2027 you’ll start to find out if he was the right choice or not

They should have gotten Durkin as the DC, he has handled the Kiff thing before and could have helped with the disorganization that comes.

Melts are getting bad over here.

How exactly would Lane had coached OM and been at LSU, he's having a hard enough time with a few assistants doing both.

quote:

All Kiffin, all of the time

That’s exactly what it’ll be as long as Lane is at LSU.

There are really two battles happening right now:

Lane/LSU vs Ole Miss — on the field, in the portal, and in perception.

Lane vs the LSU brand itself.

Lane is his own brand. Always has been.

LSU is trying to make the brand LSU, with Kiffin riding in the back seat — interchangeable, replaceable, controlled.

Kiff wants the opposite:
him as the brand, with LSU paying for the advertising.
