I mean they only won 2 more games than we did lol.

That's double you win total, with a much tougher schedule. They played Memphis and California, y'all played 4 OOC cupcakes.

Ole Miss played more freshman than any team in the country and has pair of QBs that are way better than the 5 y'all ran out there this season. I'm actually surprised that Ole Miss fired Luke.

We would have given Morris plenty of time to build his team if HE didn’t suck arse. He literally gave us every single reason to fire him and not a single reason to keep him. We had 4 games against non-P5 schools this year. Had we won those 4 games, or 3 of those games plus 1 SEC game, he’d still be our coach. Not only could he not do that, he managed to lose to both San Jose St and his former QB who he ran off came back and whooped his arse. He was hired for his offense but he made every single QB WORSE! And there were a lot of them.

At Arkansas, as long as you give us any sign of progress, you will be given time to build. After that, if you average 8.5 wins a year and keep your losses at least somewhat respectable, the job is yours for a long time. Unlike AU, Bama, or LSU where even if you average 10 wins you are on the hot seat if you aren’t winning championships.

Arkansas has great facilities and support, the biggest (only) show in the state, enough access to talent to put together a championship run every few years but not with super high expectations, and the opportunity to do something no one has ever done at Arkansas - win a SEC Championship. Whichever coach wins us a SEC Championship will go on our Mt Rushmore. Winning a SEC championship at any of the Big 6 schools, it’s like “that’s nice, but whoopty do.”

Yes, Morris had to go.

Can't go 2-4 against G5 teams (weren't even good ones)
Y'all are down, but should never be that far down.

After defending Chad Morris McElroy went on to suggest Arkansas should hire Ken Niumatalolo and run the triple option

Key points - he would be entering the west and recruiting against all of the others

IMO, these are the conditions Kiffin would thrive in. Stack the deck against him and watch him thrive

I would think that Chad got the boot so fast would bode well for the next coach getting time, right? The 49ers gave Shannahan a 6 year deal for this very reason.

McElroy also said chad Morris needed More time.

I agree! He needed a lifetime to get it going!

No, but Vanderbilt absolutely should. They would go from being an easy out to a PITA overnight.

Some are really downplaying Arky's potential. No, Arky doesn't have the natural recruiting footprint some of their rivals do.

But they reach all over TX and they can siphon off a lot of the LA leftovers. That's more than enough to be competitive.

And they have great facilities and fan support.

Arkansas had the 2nd youngest defense in the country and toward the end of the season started this:

QB: 4* true freshman KJ Jefferson
WR: 4* true freshman Treylon Burks
WR: 4* true freshman Trey Knox
WR: true sophomore Mike Woods
also have 4* TE Hudson Henry who redshirted and was one of the top TE recruits in the country

Morris actually signed a pretty solid recruiting class last year, just couldn't coach them for shite. Ole Miss ended up just one spot above us in the 2019 recruiting rankings.

Well I guess so as a true freshman with some terrible coaching and play calling.

If Im Kiffen I aint taking that job... no way...

But if Im Arkansas I know exactly who Im hiring with that dumpster fire program...

Art Briles.

if he can build Baylor into a top Ten 10 that man can do anything...

Take the Media hit for a year, no one will talk about it after that...

you have the skill position players and the Olineman to run his offensive system right now...

spread offense/Power run...
