Kiffins best stint he was 27-13 with FAU. He's 15-7 at OM, and will have a disaster of a season next year.

And he was in a game where offense was hard to come by. Kiffin’s games are played in the 30s, 40s and 50s. If you don’t understand why you would go for it with his offense and defense in that situation then your understanding of probabilities is simply not strong.
Harbaugh did it on their 1st drive of the game, after the Browns drove down the field and missed a FG.

Roger, you like Aranda, right?

Nothing like going for 4th and one at your own 25, in the first quarter. Kiffin is a clown.
This isn't yesteryear's football.

Won’t be doing that with Kiffin.
Oh, and with Ole Miss talent. Get tf outta here.

The implication is that he will have better talent to work with at LSU and be able to surpass that 10-2 ceiling you speak of.
No, I get that.
I just don’t think he can. My opinion. Everybody’s got one.
And again, I don’t think he’d stick around. For Chrissake, he’s only in Year 2 in Oxford and already looking to get out.

I do.
But I favor a defensive mind who can hire a killer OC.

Does it matter. Meaning there isn't really anyone left, Woody will have to over pay to get out of the problem.

Seems like that could have been wrapped up weeks ago

Kiffin peppers a 10 win season occasionally into a bunch of 6-6 seasons.
His record is wildly inconsistent.

The biggest gap in people’s misunderstanding of the probabilities is the flawed thinking that punting is a safe play. The thinking is “oh we just failed on a 4th down, now the other team is gonna score.” Unless you have a good defense there is a really good chance the other team is going to immediately proceed to move the ball back to your side of the field anyways.
Most competent offenses will move the ball successfully between the 20s against a poor defense like Ole Miss has. And your defense is the one getting worn out in that scenario. You want your offense on the field as long as possible for continuity and to tire out the opponent’s defense. The risk side of the risk/reward isn’t what people think it is.

No NFL guys on that list?

Since checking out of the Nick Saban Coaches Rehab Clinic, he has more 10 win seasons than not. Both programs he took over were dumpster fires as well.
If you want to knock Kiffin's 15-7 record at Ole Miss then you have to knock Aranda on his 12-9 record at Baylor.
(I prefer Aranda over Kiffin.)

LSU really doesn’t need another HC with stupid antics.
It would be nice to have an elite offensive playcaller at the helm for once though, plus he can recruit. I think his "antics" are kinda overblown anyway. What, he tweets and trolls too much? I'm down to hire the next Spurrier personality if we get a 90s Florida-like run out of him to go with it

Lane's Twitter presence disturbs the boomers.
They think he should get off their lawn.

I wouldn't really knock it, but he'll have a terrible 2022. The typical Kiffin coaching record. Kiffin also had elite offensive talent starting at OM.
Kiffins record at his previous stops were more telling. Bad seasons following good seasons.
