Y’all want to compete for championships or y’all want to Les Miles it for the next 3-5 years with Stoops. To me, his upside far exceeds his downside.

ETA: It appears we don’t have the luxury of having the perfect candidate. Pick your poison.

Kiffin would fare better at OU. Its more of his speed.

OU going to the SEC is equivalent to Ole Miss in my opinion.

OU has supposedly better talent. They're just terribly soft.

A lot of people here remind me of children complaining that there's nothing to eat at home. There's plenty of food in the pantry but you hear "I don't want any of that." They want ice cream and pizza.

That's what a lot of you want, instant gratification, you want to win the press release.

Probably a Midwest thing. They thing he’s a better fit at OU and would turn us down.

And he was in a game where offense was hard to come by. Kiffin’s games are played in the 30s, 40s and 50s. If you don’t understand why you would go for it with his offense and defense in that situation then your understanding of probabilities is simply not strong. In 20 years, the number of punts in a given game will be cut in half as coaches start to understand the value in using all 4 downs.

Where he got a first down on a penalty?

yeah..

Dumbass Lane didn't get a first down, turned it over and the other team scored.

I'm not a Kiffin advocate at all but his upside is higher than the other candidates. He can recruit and is a good coach. The inevitable blowup or him leaving us at the alter eventually is the problem.

We just need a good coach.

The antics aren’t the issue they were never the issue. The guy was 11-11 the last 2 years and multiple times publicly admitted he had no idea what he was doing.

I’m not a big fan of some of kiffen’s stuff, but come on. OM had four seasons in a row without a winning record before LK got there and in his second season he’s 10-2 and second in the SEC West.

I think if he can do that at Ole Miss he can probably do that and better at LSU

What did I say, dimwit? That’s as good as he’s ever done. He’s not capable of better.
The implication is that he will have better talent to work with at LSU and be able to surpass that 10-2 ceiling you speak of.

Well, technically he picked it up with the fake punt before that. The refs just decided to blow the play dead. And he sent the offense back out again on 4th down.

But please ignore the fact he still made the call.
