Worst case - He is a train wreck at a place where the expectations will be has high as those anywhere he has ever coached (outside of the Raiders and their ridiculous former owner).

Best case - He is Steve Spurrier 2.0 in that he becomes the troll/pain in the arse the other SEC programs loathe while he rides a wave of success at LSU.

I don't know if he would be my first choice. But I don't think his tenure would be boring!

Then why wouldn't it have been announced already? Not happening unless it was worked out last night and this morning.

last second deal.

needs a safe hire quickly.

This is it.

must not feel percentages are good for getting others like fickell, CUM, rhule, etc.

cannot bleed out waiting then nobody is left. OU is looking also. imagine waiting until 1-9 waiting ob CUM or rhule and they back out? you thought it was bad hiring miles after christmas? that would not have shite on this.

I assumed Bob Stoops was doing a trial run with the bowl game to see if he wanted to get back in full time. Surely it’s his job to turn down. I’d take him at those odds.

It's not Kiffin. He wouldn't be on twitter trolling LSU if he was actually going to be hired. Unless it happened today.

Funny, I think Kiffin was the favorite on at least one site when the job first opened up.

Several weeks later, a bunch of names have come and gone, and Kiffin is once again the favorite on at least one site.

Why does Oklahoma get fickell but not us

He's got ties to Oklahoma. I think it has something to do with his wrestling background, I remember when he was HC of OSU saying he has fond memories of Norman. Maybe some kind of wrestling camps or meets down there..not sure

LSU really doesn’t need another HC with stupid antics.

3 Looney Toon cartoon character coaches in a row, if so.

Meanwhile, David Christopher Aranda is still out there.

Geez, I don't care for the d-bag and his antics and immaturity. But he can get an offense together for sure. The surprising thing about OM is that the defense is stout.
I just don't know if he would be long term and he seems like the type that do really well and then rest on his accomplishments and get complacent or either do something stupid. Immaturity in 40's is not something that is grown out of and he just makes me nervous.

What did I say, dimwit? That’s as good as he’s ever done. He’s not capable of better.

Rinse and repeat, these people think LSU is different than Tennessee, Texas, Florida, and Texas A&M.

They have everything figured out.

They cannot give it to Kiffin, LSU's head coach office has a balcony that overlooks the practice field.

Campbell has a 28 mill buyout. There is no way it’s him.

Frankly, I would be hard pressed to be convinced that LSU hires anyone from that list. I think Scotty’s guy is not on that list.
