They have Frank Wilson now. He could surely step in and run the offense.

Weis, and others, having to do this without Lane is nothing but good for them.

I think the success of the Ole Miss offense in the playoffs has been great for Weis’ stock as an OC and potential HC. He’s proven that in spite of Kiffin being the HC and offensive guru that he can certainly run the show on his own, including on a big stage against a great defense.

Yup, I’m fine with the LSU coaches helping OM, but if OM is going this route, pull them immediately. That’s beyond fricked up.
LSU tampering isn’t fricked up? Ole Miss should just allow it to happen?

If there’s merit to the OM allegations of tampering, then why allow the LSU coaches back?

Seems like OM should tell the LSU coaches to hit the door, no?

Ole Miss should understand the same coaches that are preparing the for the CFP, think highly enough of them to want them part of their next team. If Carter and Pete are that naive or insecure, they are operating out of league

Instead of threatening tampering charges maybe just tell the coaches that are splitting duties to try and win your program a title thanks, but no thanks?

That seems way too measured and reasonable for Carter though. He reacts to situations like a spurned woman.

Thank God we have a head coach who has the emotional maturity to handle this situation appropriately

Not sarcasm - I really liked CLK's answer when he was asked about his coaches splitting time - he mentioned when Kirby was on Sabans staff, got hired by Georgia but kept coaching Bama. It can work fine.

there is a very blurry line there.

these coaches are in locker room and team meeting rooms and talking to these players they have been coaching.
They're all humans and will have conversations about more than just what play we running next.

I doubt seriously any of them said specifically "please enter the transfer portal and go to LSU" which would be textbook tampering

them saying "man I love coaching you" could easily be viewed as possible tampering (hinting you want him to follow you), or as just complimenting a player.

then, what if the player initiates the conversation, even in a joking way?
"hey coach, your entire OLine just bolted LSU, what are you gonna do now?"

or two coaches just talking to each other being overheard by any players?

in a league where players can leave when ever they want what exactly is tampering? The players run this shite... not the coaches.

If they want to start making accusations about tampering, it’s time for LSU to pull all the coaches back and move on

If you are that much of a bitch about it then don't let another school's coaches back into your building.

It's absolutely absurd they would cry about this after they came back to help Ole Miss. Be grateful.

Correct. The idea of worrying about tampering in today's college football is absolutely silly.

Dont borrow lsu coaches to run your team if you don’t want “tampering” to happen

Agents are running the show now so there is no real need to have any coach "tamper". They are the ones initiating most school contacts.

Honestly since LSU now owes Kiffin's bonus for each of Ole Miss' CFP wins I'm not sure why we are allowing them to continue coaching? It's literally costing us millions.
