We have no oc or dc lol. We aren’t keeping a coach secret. He hired the dB coach because he can make him an an assistant if the dc has someone else. Davis is a good coach for any oc.
Imo it was a reaction to losing Raymond. He had to keep the best coach still available and he needed a backup db coach in case he can’t find someone
Nice. My thoughts exactly. I just worded the part about Raymond going and bringing in the newbie as a deflection off of Raymond leaving.
Damn, you a smart fella!

They both have been known for a while. These coaches are still in play for more and Kelly is allowing that despite dipshits talking BS about him leaving ND. He needed to get this in place so Jan 1, he is off and running.

I think CBK has both coordinators and he probably consulted them on these initial hires. He doesn’t have to consult them but it’s smart to do since they will be coaching unders the new coordinators. This isn’t O running some half a$$ side show anymore. BK is a professional. Guarantee you Saban does the same prior to hiring a position coach.

It would be very unlikely to hire an OC and an OL coach and not consult the OC.

I'd like warren ruggerio or Zach kittley-offensive coordinator
Jimmy Lake - defensive coordinator

Golding and Denbrock have both been consulted on the hires to date. Just a guess

No your whole paragraph is wrong. I would want to believe Daronte Jones will be retained, that what I want to believe but I'm not sure about Kelly on that one, may bring him on another position. Kelly has other ideas completely different from what you mentioned

Most coaches do this they don't tend to hire assistants without input from the coordinators
correct me if wrong but aranda didn't hire a single person when he came in 2016. The staff was in place already. He was a pretty big pull.

You're making stuff up. Maybe others know, but did marcus Freeman bring or have staff input at ND last year ?

Don’t know who the OC but apparently the deal is already in place but is waiting to be announced.
