Coach O was never considered an LSU guy until he wanted the job and then everyone jumped on the train of sentimentality like they are with Napier.
Napier is NOT one of us. He is not from here and he has not been here long. Coaching ULL does not make him "one of us".
Again....... MORON.

Doesnt matter how much campaigning these local radio dumbasses do, this time it wont work because you dont have a meathead in the athletic department who is easily lead but that big nose of his. Woodward will decide who the next coach is. Not Jordy Culotta!

Lol I could care less where he’s from, but no he’s not from here at all. I think he’s from Tennessee I believe, could be wrong. I think he’s a good coach and since we won championships with a lot less our last two go arounds, I think he would work out well here.

To clarify: I don't think he should be anyone's top candidate. To call him O 2.0 is laughable.
O sold himself with a binder promising he was a changed man. He was hired based on recruiting continuity and with hopes he had learned from his mistakes. Results were "Mixed:.
Napier would be brought in to continue doing what he has been doing. Hoping that his acumen, leadership and recruiting would quickly return the program back to top tier SEC.

We’ve seen this before. I like Napier, and I think he could be great. Definitely a better hire than O. But understand the way some of the media works and their intentions. That’s all I’m saying.
Never forget it was Ponamsky AND Jordy pushing for the O hire back in 2016. They used Cullotta and the Prince as O’s personal marketing machine as he was their buddy and a frequent visitor on the show even before he was hired as D Line coach. Sound familiar? Jordy came around and pushed for O’s firing which is great. But his influence helped get us O in the first place. Be wary of his Napier pumping.

As if that's not the #1 reason anyone here gives a shite about him.
Napier being at ULL has given some tiger fans a huge burr up their arse for some reason.

I know your not saying it(OP),but this "one of us" bullshite that comes up with Napier is idiotic. He was born in Tennessee and grew up in Georgia. He's not "one of us". ULL is just a tool for him. As a matter of fact, if there's any downside to hiring Napier, its that we would have to worry every time the Georgia or Alabama jobs came open.

Hell, if he can win a championship like O did, I’ll take him.

Is nothing like Coach O. Napier isn't even attached to the program.
People that back Napier dont even understand the reference. Its the cheeleading for an unproven coach. The Cajun Mafia doesnt care about coaching abilities, or W/L records, or anything championship related. Its only about validating dat Looziana culcha.
Coach Eaux
Geaux Tigahs
Who dat
Jambalaya at dat tailgate chat!
Ragin' Cajuns!!
Orgeron was literally one of them, and dat Napier, he dun brung it down Lafayette way with dem Ragin' Cajuns, SON! The Dude still hasnt won a conference outright, even at the G5 level. Yet we want him to take the reigns of a 4-time NC program.
Its Orgeron all over again. No quality history, but we gonna hire him and fire him in 4+ years

no it isnt
1) Jordy isnt campainging. Napier has come on the show many times in the past and was brought on cause they just beat App State. Napier isnt campaigning either.
2) saying he is only a candidate because of being in the state is bullshite. outside of Fickel...he is the hottest G5 name out there, him and Chadwell. thats the three hot names. he was already on the radar for SEC schools hence he could have had MSU, SC, Aub jobs.
3) his resume is elite for a school like ULL. Would I have him as my number 1? frick no, that would be stupid.
besides peterson and urban you have to have riley as number one but he is a pipe dream. Fickel has to be #2, but its doubtful he leaves the midwest.
after that its a crap shoot. Napier has been better at ull than kiffen was at FAU, in fact much much better and ULL is harder place to win and sunbelt is much better conference. Not that I am not good with kiffen but the doubel standard is dumb because in P5, kiffen hasnt been very good.
Franklin- this is year 8 at psu, only one conference championsip, no playoff appearences, Never lost less than 2 and only has 2 seasons of 2 losses, only 1 with 3. had a losing season just last year. also just another CEO type
aranda and tucker? im good with that but lets see how they finish the year cause neither had good 1st years for sure and both are just as big if not bigger risk. tucker didnt exactly tear it his first 2 seasons where both were losing records.
Cristobal- another CEO type. Has recruited great including having 45% of the conferences 5 stars but still drops games he shouldnt.
Campbell- another midwest guy

Slime ball LA politics.. Pretty much the reason the state as a whole is in the position it's in.
Could not disagree more.... Napier is an amazing coach. Guy will have huge success at LSU if we are lucky enough to get him.

Of course, he is going to promote a local guy who he can get on his show mid-season to interview. He isn't getting Franklin or Riley on his show any time soon. His promoting his show and hoping pull in some viewers from Lafayette I would guess.
