All these media idiots love Lane currently but watch how they turn on him in a heartbeat if he comes to LSU. None of these idiots actually believe he can win more at Ole Piss than LSU. People like Reece just want LSU to stay an 8 win program.

How many championships does lsu have in the NIL/transfer portal era? I remember lsu fans accusing Saban of retiring because he couldn't cheat for players with the NIL making it easy for everyone and the ability to stack a roster now that they could transfer. But I guess that didn't impact lsu at all

No one wants LSU to have an elite Coach. It’s always been that way. When Saban was at LSU it was always reported he will leave for the NFL but he’s happy for the time being.
LSU can have success without an elite Coach but can’t consistently be elite which is what they want. Been that way and will always be that way.

There is a major difference between being able to recruit top high school recruiting classes and supplementing them with the transfer portal to fill holes and basically having mediocre high school talent and replacing entire teams in the portal like Ole Miss is having to do.
It’s not sustainable.
Also, guys like Cignetti have proven exactly what? Making it to the playoffs playing an atrocious schedule last year and then getting blasted? Ole Miss and A&M are succeeding based on playing awful schedules.
A&M is 7-0 against the bottom half of the SEC and 0-1 against the top half.
Ole Miss is a good team this year but has one strong win (OU) and one okay win (Tulane). They played 2 legit teams all season and went 1-1 with OU’s QB still recovering from his hand injury.
In the end, he reached his ceiling at Ole Miss. Last year, with a better team against a much harder schedule, they lost 3 games. That is why he won’t win an NC at Ole Miss.

Like a lot of ole miss grads, I don't live in Mississippi and while I love ole miss, my life doesn't revolve around it. I know Louisiana grads don't leave the state and the entire state's emotional and mental stability is based on how good lsu is at football, but it might be worth it to look at going to a state with a normal legal system and where they speak actual English.

I have nothing against ole miss. My mom’s side is Ole Miss people and she has 2 uncles in the ole miss football hall of fame. But let’s be real. They’re a top 10 team once every 5 years and haven’t sniffed a nation championship in 65 years.
