To be fair, in the age of internet “reporting “, there tends to be a LOT of parroting of “info”.

One rumor get “reported “ and the other parrots use that as the source.

Also, NONE of this is reporting of facts. It is expression of “I believe...” and “ feeling is....”
absolutely. Reducing my skepticism down to some tinfoil hat conspiracy of ‘OMG THEY ALL MUST HAVE AGENDAS’ ignores the fact that the internet is one giant game of telephone combined with group think and confirmation bias.

You posted this. Seemed like you termed them as fact. I just wanted to get it straight.

J, a text I received this morning indicated it would be Steve. Didn’t really trust that person tho. But then Jimmy D tweeted the OP tweet right after. Made me think ...

We know O likes Steve. We know O believes Steve’s offense helped get him the job. I think these factors are weighing heavily into this.

I've called O out multiple times, but have leaned towards supporting him since he IS the coach, like I did with Miles. Not my choice, but once it was done it was done.

I just haven't participated in the vitriolic attacks on the HC.

I dont see how the most ardent O supporter could think this is a good idea.

LSU is going to hire a guy who hasn't been an OC for 10 years and was not good, even then?

Oh wait, thats sounds shockingly familiar.

We're headed for the bottom folks. Pack your bags.

I think I said “I believe it to be very plausible.” Because I believe that Steve can be hired as OC doesn’t make it my opinion or a fact that he would be OC.

I literally have no clue. I’m in the dark. A week ago I would have told you with certainty that Tee Martin was coming. I was wrong on that.

Nobody gives a shite about gut feelings.

If journalists can’t articulate with reason or evidence, they should go to TMZ and just devote themselves to being gossip hounds and paparazzi.

The local sports media in BR are assclowns. I take everything they say with a grain of a grain of salt.

I'll be happy to volunteer to kidnap the entire OC staff including O, lock them in a locker somewhere and throw the keys away.

They'll recruit well enough and it won't last long enough to be a total disaster. Two more 9-4 years and it will be over, and I really don't see it getting worse than 9-4/8-5. It's not close to where we want to be, but it won't be such a total disaster that another coach will need years to rebuild.

Yeah, Space Cowboy is the irrational dope. Bayou cowboy is thoughtful and rational.

If this happens, it puts us another year further back from the pack because it's essentially a wasted year that no forward progress will be made. May even regress somewhat. However it also practically guarantees that Aranda will take over as head coach as soon as the smoke clears on our loss to West Virginia in the Meineke Car Care Bowl next year. But it just makes it a steeper climb for DA to get us out of the hole.

If Ensminger is given the OC position, I will not be some fair weather fan that abandons the team I have loved since I can remember. But I will definitively be labeling next season as a "transition period" and drastically lower my expectations.

No worries. I try to be rational. Not always successful. I desperately want O to succeed because I want LSU to succeed.

My concern is I've crossed paths with many people in my life that either don't handle success well or seem to destroy opportunities laid before them because something in their DNA prevents them from making good decisions. I'm starting to wonder if O is one of those guys. I believe in second chances and learning from mistakes, but geez. SMH

If we give Steve fricking Ensminger a million dollars....I will laugh my arse off....and then cry.....

That is literally doing what we did with O. “Hey no one is bidding for your services at all. Here’s 4million + a buy out...because frick it why not?”
