If that's the case then Jimbo's ship has sailed forever for LSU

As much as I love Aranda , he's gonna be gone in a couple years. I think I'm okay with Jimbo bringing Pruitt. If I thought Aranda would be around long term I'd feel differently , but Jimbo and Pruitt would be lights out for the long term.

Tug of war between Herman and Fisher? This is fine with me but it better be one of these two.

For the love of god, this isn't totally reassuring.

I feel exactly like I did during the 4Q of the 2012 and 2014 Bama games. We're winning, glory seems imminent, only seconds away, but I'm bracing myself for the inevitable and improbable kick in the gut, the loss. Please don't break my sporting heart again, LSU. Get Jimbo or Herman.

Yeah, I don't like the way this is playing out.

Apparently we suddenly can't agree to terms with Jimbo, and are now moving on to Herman. What happens when Texas throws the bank at Herman after their game tomorrow?

"Jimbo's a pimp. He never could have outfought Saban. But I didn't know until this day, that it was Herman all along."

True, I was being kind to LSU.

... you were being kind to a team with more wins, more top-5 AP rankings, equal NC's and an extra NC appearance since 2000?

How generous of you!

I don't know about that. He doesn't seem to have the personality for a head coach gig. Seems more like a behind the scenes thinkers than a spotlight kind of guy.

If Texas wanted Herman so bad why wouldn't they just throw the bank at him now?

You think fl st is elite and LSU isn't? Lol. Most LSU fans I know much prefer Herman. I'll take jimbo but if I had my choice it is a no brainer

While I agree regarding Aranda being a HC, I do see NFL DC in his future.

I wish is wasn't so . I'd love the have him as DC for many seasons to come , but I just think he moves on.

I think the most mentioned reason was that there was a concern that players might boycott the TCU game if Strong was fired beforehand.

Main difference between Strong and Miles is that Strong is still very popular with the players.

Sorry LSU fans, but this poster is playing all of you. Acting like LSU is frustrated and willing to walk from Fisher is pure garbage. If you want to continue being lead around by the nose be my guest, but bottom line is if Fisher stays it's because he said no to the LSU offer because he already has a gig he loves at an elite program, period.

Stupid shite like this makes me want Jimbo.
