I guess I'm not really convinced that Herman wants nothing to do with Texas as we've heard. Sounds too perfect for consumption, exactly what LSU fans want to hear.

The next text I get from my source will probably let me know if it's Jimbo or not. I'll post it, if it turns out to be wrong... I accept a lifetime Ban.

In all fairness tom herman did kick jimbo arse last year. He had alot less talent too. I remember it and I'm sure you do too so I will just leave it at that.

Damn you love some tiny defenses and an offense that would not succeed in the SEC with a small roster that will get pushed around

That's not what he targeted at the NFL level, and he spoke glowingly of the types of athletes LSU had when they played a few years ago.

Imagine an LSU defense with Chip Kelly's offense.

So does Jimbo that's why he's waiting until after the game to tell LSU yes or no

I think just the opposite. I think it's a done deal with jimbo. the power brokers are now using their proxys like random and dalsu to flood the public domain with herman talk to protect the agreement and give jimbo some breathing room.

What happened to the ball being in LSU's court? I thought the clock was ticking on OUR acceptance of Jimbo's counter.

Why would Herman agree to a deal with LSU before the UT saga plays out? Doesn't make any sense. Herman has a TON of leverage right now

Because Herman knows the Texas job is a shite end deal. No one can keep all of the players in their big money happy. Far too much baggage comes with Texas.

As much as I want this to be true, I can't reconcile the possibility that Jimbo/LSU talks are at an impasse with Herman being a "real possibility." I have no doubt that he's LSU's most coveted next option but that doesn't mean chances of getting him are particularly good. We could end up with neither of them. I guess I'm not really convinced that Herman wants nothing to do with Texas as we've heard. Sounds too perfect for consumption, exactly what LSU fans want to hear.
