Why would Herman agree to a deal with LSU before the UT saga plays out? Doesn't make any sense. Herman has a TON of leverage right now

Well you're shitting on everybody having hope for the LSU program.

Because an Orgeron or Fedora or some shite hire like that takes us back toward the 90s.

Sign Herman now, call Thrasher at FSU and say that we have hired Herman and that FSU doesn't need to give him a raise or his demands.

????

Profit

With all of the information flowing about Herman, wouldn't surprise me if this is a last ditch effort to Fisher to shite or get off the pot. Fisher doesn't cave, Seems like it's Herman.

In the end I think Fisher ends up caving, even though I would prefer Herman

Much prefer the former. Give me the data and I can connect the dots myself.

Thanks for the info Random. Always appreciated.

Because he might not be excited about the administration/booster culture at Texas right now. Those freaks are in a tailspin and they're going nuts over it. Texas has tons of issues. This is a school that can barely contain its cries to fire their coach 3 games into the season. What a great chance for Charlie Strong to right the ship, huh? He gets threatened all season to be fired, forced to change his coaches constantly.

Texas had 3 different offensive coordinators.

Made Strong demote his longtime DC this year, along with numerous other coaching changes.

How can a coach be expected to have any continuity when he's constantly shuffling coaches out of the door?

There's no way Herman agrees with LSU unless he's talked to Texas and decided not to take that job.

There's also no way Texas hasn't talked to Herman already.

In short? If Herman comes to LSU, the only reason he'd have to leave is for the NFL... and he's young enough to coach at LSU for 5-10 years and still be young enough to leave for the NFL.

Quite honestly, if it's down to UT and LSU for Herman, leverage doesn't mean shite at Texas. They have too many rich shite bags with their hand in the cookie jar, which is why the flagship of the state of Texas, with their infinite resources, and pick of the litter in recruits, has won ONE national title this millennium.

Herman can probably see what Saban saw...an underrated giant machine that just needs a little lube. He's got a chance to leave his mark and overthrow the king.

...maybe because UT is toxic and he doesn't want any part of it.

As much as I want this to be true, I can't reconcile the possibility that Jimbo/LSU talks are at an impasse with Herman being a "real possibility." I have no doubt that he's LSU's most coveted next option but that doesn't mean chances of getting him are particularly good. We could end up with neither of them.

I guess I'm not really convinced that Herman wants nothing to do with Texas as we've heard. Sounds too perfect for consumption, exactly what LSU fans want to hear.
