No way. DCs are not as valued as new head coaches right now as OCs.

I dont believe you

But in all honesty, if O went 7-1 with this team, would you want him at BAMA?

No, let him run a mid-major for a few years and if he does well i would consider him for a top P5 job.

Do me a favor. Please find me 5 college head coaches with a better resume than Fisher.

Now, if you manage that, tell me which of the 5 can realistically be taken from their current positions.

I'll wait.

Herman is the guy we should be making a run for, not Jimbo. I just don't get the love for Jimbo, he is shady like Petrino but without the offensive mind. Even Saban said he wasn't HC material per Skip's interview. Herman embarrased him last year and is punching above his weight at a commuter college. Herman has been impressive. Jimbo is loser who is about to get run out of Tallahassee, why do we want FSU's sloppy seconds? Who else is beating down the door to get this guy? No one, just like Miles.

Do some of you people actually think LSU is NOT considering Herman? He is top of everyone's list; it doesn't look good as far as landing him now that UT is slipping. Shady like petrino?

If O does decently as hc he will expect to get the job. He will walk if not offered in that scenario.

And as much as I'd hate that, having Jimbo and Aranda would be so frickin' worth it.

Just when you thought the administration couldn't be more incompetent.

Ok. If we can't get Herman, please tell me who Jester would hire.

Your mom

See, I don't have time to run a massive coaching search. That's for the AD, who happens to suck bull nuts, but I digress. The same people that wanted Les run out of town on a rail for 3 losses (or bad losses) want to bring in a guy with as many losses and whose losses are worse.

Fwiw, i don't trust Alleva either. I don't think a thorough coaching search will be done and this will end up becoming a shite show.
I wasn't trying to be a dick. I just wanted to know your opinion on who would be a good hire.

I think people are overvaluing national championships, honestly. Saban hadn't come close to one at MSU. Miles was nowhere near one at OSU. Meyer never came close at Utah.

They need to be looking at guys who are building smaller programs as much as ones keeping the big ones on top.

Have you seen Jimbo's record over the last 12 games? The guy is a disaster.

somebody didn't pay attention to where bowden had taken them a few years directly before jimbo became HC.

JIMBO SUX!!!!!!!

ONLY won the west here every other year, 01, 03 and 05 at LSU

ONLY won 4 division titles at FSU

ONLY won 3 conference titles at FSU

ONLY won one natty at FSU

ONLY had a 29 game win streak

ONLY made the playoffs the very next year at FSU

ONLY had coached at least 8 QB's who have played pro ball. 4 first rounders.

TERRIBLE!!!!!

Okay, chuckles, so you think LSU never should have hired Saban?
