Not playoffs but it was a Big 6 New Year's bowl.

Have you seen Jimbo's record over the last 12 games? The guy is a disaster. Why do people love him so much when he's getting curb stomped in the ACC?

Meyer went 8-5 his last season at UF

the ACC is no longer dog shite either

Why do we want a guy who is 7-5 currently? Why do we want a guy who can't even dominate in the ACC? Seriously. I could understand if Jimbo and FSU were the 'Bama of the ACC but they're not, they're the doormat now.

holy shite

some of you are straight up stupid

correct, it was an emotional typo

Jimbo develops QBs- Jamarcus, Winston, Manuel, Ponder

what has been LSUs biggest personnel problem?

t is widely known that Jimbo has had trouble keeping coordinators because FSU won't shell out the money.

Take a guess which school in 2016 has the highest paid staff.

Jimbo's offense this year averages over 30 points a game, and can undoubtedly blame a large portion of it's season thus far on defense

guess what LSU is known for and who the current DC is?

Meyer went 8-5 his last season at UF, Jimbo has experience recruiting in Louisiana and Florida, has won a title as an OC at LSU, won a title at FSU and has numerous QBs drafted in the first round, including 2 #1 overall picks

anyone that is legitimately trying to use this season alone as a factor in not hiring a championship winning coach from a P5 school to keep Ed frickin' Orgeron is a fricking CLOWN.

I love Eaux, but you can not say he is a better hire for LSU than Jimbo. That is seriously idiotic. Come on baws, frick.

Jimbo is a rich mans version of everything fans liked about Les, and everything Les wasn't in terms of what fans hated about Les.

don't forget Booty, Rohan Davey, Mauck and Flynn.

Herman is the only exception. He's like Andrew Luck. Just about the only absolute known commodity.

If not for Herman, Jimbo would be the absolute best option for LSU, without a shadow of a doubt.

Also, I think it is clear Jimbo is never going to test the NFL waters. Herman may not either, but I personally think he's got NFL HC written all over him, especially if he wins big at a major P5 program.

I'm so sick of the short sighted posters here blaming this entire FSU season on Jimbo. Have they watched any of FSU's games? It's astounding

for a fan base that has been so deprived of solid QB play for so long, you'd think every one of us would be drooling over Jimbo. Not blaming him for a bad defense and a cheap AD.

not sure...he isn't exactly playing a brutal schedule...and he lost to UConn last year.

Coaching at Texas or LSU will present to him pressures and obstacles that he never had to face at Houston...

Where he got whipped by a team with vastly inferior talent. And he lost to a 3-9 team during the regular season, and had two close ones against two other 3-9 teams. It's one thing to struggle against a bad team here and there, but to do it consistently... that's something I had hoped we were done with with Miles gone. Apparently some folks want more of it.

go look at what has occurred with his coaching staff since he's been at FSU and report back

that's fair. I just see Herman as a guy who somehow gets the best out of his players. He's done a lot with little talent.

But he is relatively unproven, outside of a 1.25 seasons and a couple of big wins

What Les and his DC do/did does not automatically mean Jimbo will do the same. Hell, Aranda may decide to follow Herman to Texas for all we know.

There are other coaches out there that should be looked at. It isn't Orgeron v. Fisher.

Of course it's not. But read the thread and you'll see why I mention Fisher specifically.

To your point about Aranda, I understand. If anything I think we have figured out that LSU will pay for a top DC now that the Les Miles clause is no longer in existence.

Just a guess here, but I think Aranda's next move is HC, not a lateral position move to be a DC at a richer program in a shite conference. No way to know that obviously. He could very well be like Chavis and be a DC for life.

It definitely shouldn't be Orgeron v. Fisher. Thus, a "coaching search" but that's Alleva, and that's downright scary.

Yes, we have watched the games. And not just this year. We watched last year, and the year before that, and a few years before that, too. There is a pattern, if you dare notice it, and it is very similar to what we've seen at LSU with Miles. Heavy reliance on athletes to make plays and win games, rather than coaching and playcalling. Lack of consistency. Underperforming vs weaker opponents.

See, I don't have time to run a massive coaching search. That's for the AD, who happens to suck bull nuts, but I digress. The same people that wanted Les run out of town on a rail for 3 losses (or bad losses) want to bring in a guy with as many losses and whose losses are worse.

You aren't going to find anyone who will not lose an average of 2-3 games per year.

Comparing Jimbo to Miles is asinine. Good lord. I don't even know where to begin.
