Malzahn has and will continue to hold a grudge against Arkansas.

Arkansas offense was ranked at 35th in the nation last year.

Now it is ranked 112th in the nation.

Lashlee
Odom
Traylor or
Herman
As far a candidates go when it happens.

Only way he retires is if Arkansas agrees to pay the buyout.

100%, Do Razorback fans believe he will leave $17 million on the table because he is a nice guy?

Nope.

He wants his money and he isn't going to retire.

It's (the Arkansas program) currently in really bad shape.

He (Pittman) had them moving in the right direction two years ago, and then he ran into a brick wall.

Right now, they could be in worse shape than Vandy. It's that bad.

Good rule of thumb, when other teams fans want your head coach to stay, it’s time for him to go

Yes like John L. Smith leaving Weber State before coaching a game just to take a $800,000 one year check.

Bert who skipped recruiting visits to go to Vegas that caused Sam Pittman to leave Arkansas.

Chad who skipped Friday nights with his team to take a helicopter to watch his son play football in Dallas.

The one who lived by himself and didn't bother to bring his family.

That is why you do a full check and see if he is the one. I know it is hard sometimes like Texas A&M having a very bad luck but mostly it is that the AD just not that smart to knowing Disher might be a bad fit and I didn't even like what he did at FSU at the end and with his ex-wife creating other problems. That is why you go with personality and do a full background check on their lifestyle choices. Same was a good temporary HC to fix the bleeding. Odom was a good get to help him and now he couldn't do it without Odom around.

I would give Pittman the Coach O treatment. Announce now that there will be a change, but let him finish out the season. He's a good guy, he deserves a little dignity.

Serious question: Why was he hired to begin with? Everyone could see this was going to be a disaster.

Do you remember where Arkansas was after Chad Morris (the worst coach in SEC history)? It was a rehabilitation project and Pittman was an Arkansas guy who was able to get them back to a decent spot because he had 2 elite coordinators. But those guys left this past year and Pittman, like O, whiffed on the replacements.

What is going on with LSU DC? I thought he was a homerun hire.

When Frank Broyles was the AD, he did his own background checks before he did any hiring or he called up people in the coaching circles to get some input on his choices.

This why Arkansas had years when all three big sports were winning at a high level for a period of time and that made them attractive to the SEC.

They don't do that anymore and they just pick them without doing any research. And thus a revolving door of hiring and firing.

Sam hired Odom because he had head coaching experience and leaned on him.

Sam made a good hire in Travis Williams who is a nominee for the Broyles award.

But he hired Enos who had a good resume but wasn't a good fit at Arkansas.

Arkansas went from the 35th ranked offense in the nation to 112th.

You can't win without an offense and had Sam hired an OC best suited for his personnel on offense then he wouldn't be in the predicament that he is now.

I think Pittman has done a pretty good job. Not sure why they want to force him out so badly. Look, they’ve had some really close losses. Bama, LSU, etc. I don’t think they’re that far off it’s just been some bad breaks here and there.

The guy loves that university and his teams are tough. I think he deserves another year
