I think he's done a great job considering it's Arkansas. I realize you guys are having a down year, but sometimes you have to weather the storm and a change is not always the best answer. He's a class act that has represented Arkansas in a first class manner. Malzahn couldn't do any better.

11-22 in the SEC isn't doing a great job. Doesn't matter if it is at Arkansas or not.

This wasn't supposed to be a rebuilding year.

Arkansas returned one of the best QBs in the SEC.

Returned one of the best RBs in the nation. With plenty of depth behind him.

Returned an OL that was top 10 in the nation in rushing last year.

Returned one of the best CBs in the SEC.

Had a group of WRs that are talented but unproven and good amount of depth not seen in a few years.

Sam and his staff hit the portal hard and got some upgrades on defense. Arkansas was awful last but improved this year to a top 50 total defense. Impressive enough that new DC Travis Williams was a nominee for the Broyles award.

The defense was stacked with plenty of depth not seen in years.

Where he failed was a change in a OC which meant changing offenses.

One of the best QBs in the SEC, became one of the worst.

One of the best RBs in the nation went MIA.

One of the best rushing offenses in that nation of a sudden couldn't run nor pass block against Western Carolina and Kent State.

Arkansas was a top 40 offense in the nation last year but fell dead last in the SEC at 112 this year.

Arkansas played tough because the defense kept them from being embarrassed until the Auburn game where the defense was tired of being put in difficult situations that they didn't deserve. So they gave up and you got a 48-10 score. Sam finally lost the team.

2022 and 2023 seasons were supposed to be really good years for Arkansas when they typically cycle up.

Poor coaching lost them plenty of winnable games in those seasons.

Now if Sam is retained then Arkansas is headed for what should have been his rebuilding year not these last two seasons.

So keep Sam and a 2-10/3-9 season is almost guaranteed.
