Wikipedia contributors seem to think Nebraska is hiring him.

I am not saying that I want the guy at LSU but pissing on him is plain ignorant. Whipple just finished a season where his offense averaged per game 43 points and 502 yards.

This board is usually clueless. Most of TD seems like they might watch maybe half of their own team’s games and a few random CBS games yet they are all experts on shite like the RB coach at Syracuse or the OC at Kent State.

Pitt could get screwed for its bowl game, as their Heisman candidate QB is rumored to be opting out to prepare for the draft. College football in today's world.

that would be extremely disappointing and would instantly kill any hype for the Peach Bowl.

the bowls are probably going to have to start doling out NIL cash if they want these big name players to stick around.

Local press reporting Whipple and USC OC Graham Harrell interviewed for the job this weekend and Frost chose Whipple. Bears OL Donavan Raiola also coming. Announcement tomorrow once Frost is back. Leaves one coaching spot open for Nebraska… special teams

I wouldn't gauge my opinion off of this, Miami's program is a train wreck.

I don't know why this is getting upvoted. I don't know if you all have recency bias or just don't watch a lot of college football, but this would be a very below-average hire.

read the thread moron. i said i don't want him, i just thought the timing was interesting

NOT good enough for the 13, 14 and 15 year old Rant Fartknocker Brigade. He too old.

How about Kelly? He is also old. How is he different from Mark Whipple?

Well in fairness he is 4 years older than Kelly. He is going to be 65.

An older HC is fine, but 60 isn't quite that old. However, you probably do not want to surround yourself with older coordinators.

Since Saban is everybody's standard.

Some of his OCs I can think of

Kiffin - still in his 40s
Sark - still in his 40s
BOB - only 52
McElwain - still in his 50s and he was his OC a while ago
Locksley - was in his 40s, now 51

However, if he feels he's the best hire then that's his choice. We just have a preference to not have both HC/OC in their 60s.

I am interested in Warren Ruggiero, Kendal Briles, Graham Harrell and even Joe Brady.
