I'm surprised Jeff Brohm is not being mentioned more...

I know he is at is Alma Mater, but if LSU came along with a good payday would LSU be able to pull him away from Louisville?
Jeff Brohm has a proven track record of winning big games. Between his time at Purdue and Louisville, he holds a 4-4 record against top-5 teams, an impressive record. He went 3-0 against top-5 opponents at Purdue and is 1-4 at Louisville, including a recent win over No. 2 Miami. Overall, Brohm is 11-16 in his career against top-25 teams, which is very respectable. I’ve always thought he’s an excellent coach.
If I’m LSU, I make Brohm say no.

Brohm already left the Big 10 for his Alma Mater. That said, you could do a lot worse than him. He's done well everywhere he's been and Purdue has been downright awful since he left there.

If the money’s right, he might not say no...you never know unless you ask. If it doesn’t work out, then you move on to your next option. But for me, Jeff Brohm would be at the top of the list until he turns it down.
The kind of players he could recruit and develop at LSU would be unlike anything he’s had before. Just look at what he’s accomplished with a much smaller talent pool, t’s impressive. Imagine what he could do with LSU-level talent.

No kidding. I think he’s an outstanding coach but he would probably be as tough a pull as Lanning. Dude is a UL lifer.

Purdue is a pretty weak B1G program.
I think he, and Dillingham, B.Key, Clark Lea... All those guys except Cignetti would consider leaving their alma mater but only for a legit top 5 program. LSU is arguably one of those.

Dude haven’t you been reading these threads. Coaches are willing to drown babies to come coach at LSU. It doesn’t matter if they are at their Alma mater or at a school where they can make the playoffs easier.
No sir there will be no coaches turning down LSU. In fact I believe the next coach will actually pay the school to come coach.

Cignetti isn't at his alma mater. He went to WVU.
His dad was the long time coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He left Bama to coach there before he went to James Madison.

Yeah they will pay to have a situation wherein they could be fired at the halfway or earlier point in a struggling season.....just like the three before him.

Cignetti and Mark Cuban are friends both from Pittsburgh. Cuban graduated from Indiana. Cuban never donates to the athletic department there, but recently donated 50 million to secure his friend for a long term contract. Highly doubt Cignetti would leave after all that.

You aren't going to pry him from Louisville. The ACC is literally louisville and clemson and no one else.
