I'm not nervous about any assistant coach hires like I was under Miles and Orgeron.

We have a competent coach. I used to freak out over who was going to be the LBs coach or something like that because I knew that both Miles and Orgeron had to have the very best assistants. Now, I trust Brian Kelly to get who he needs to get and if someone good turns him down or leaves, he'll find someone else good.

I'm more waiting to see what happens rather than worrying about every little thing. It's refreshing.

I don't think we should compare miles to O in regards to hiring assistants.

Miles was light years better

I honestly don’t understand why there hasn’t been any noise other than a few of ours leaving and his formers staying at ND while early signing day is quickly approaching.

Miles actually made pretty good assistant and defensive coordinator hires.

I don't want him bringing del alexander the wide receiver coach with him.

Needs to get that spot right.

We need that guy we had that year we won EVERYTHING. something- Brady. He seemed pretty good. I believe he had them catch a bunch of balls that summer.

Miles hired some pretty good coaches man. Sure he had misses like Cameron but overall his coaching hire were pretty damn good.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that Kelly will personally interview all of his prospective assistants. That’s something every competent coach in the world does, right?

del alexander

I was killing time on 247 tonight and glanced at this guy. Seems to be a really good recruiter. At least he's got a few really good wide outs committed in this year's class anyway.

I know here for the heist didn't like him, though.

I have no doubt BK will hire the right people.

None of the OC's were good because Miles ran the offense. He had zip to do with the defense. The defense got better this year. Only had one bad DC hire. Two bad OC hires, although Canada was mostly an ego clash thing

Except for when they were his buddies. He made great hires but I’m still mad about the cam Cameron fiasco

It’s either a good or a bad thing that we haven’t had any names of any non-ND potential assistants leaked. Good that there’s no leaks or bad that Kelly doesn’t have any names that we’re negotiating with.

With recruiting, we gotta get these guys in quickly or we’ll lose on big in-state targets.

Hopefully Kelly has people lined up to interview once he’s done evaluating the current assistants.

Kelly doesn’t have anyone. How is it the board doesn’t see this scab on Kellys arse? Not a single coach from his staff is coming? That’s pretty much unheard of. Guy must be unlikable by his fellow coach’s when not one comes with him.

It's clear Riley had his deal planned for months and locked in coaches. Kelly truly was a hail Mary by Woody and Kelly went on his own. He couldn't risk telling anyone.

I don’t think BK will be as stubborn if he makes a mistake either
