I would bet Napier is right now 98% the coach that Riley is.

Easy, pal.

I’m a Napier fan, but he’s a big risk, with potentially high upside.

Simple question. If Napier is not the HC at USL is he even discussed as a "candidate" on this board?

Look I don’t think Riley is quite the automatic success story here some do, but this is ridiculous.

Napier has never run a great offense while Riley is likely the best, most innovative offensive coach in football.

Napier is a WRs coach/recruiter more than anything else. That's why he's marketed as a "program builder" and his schematics are ignored in the hype.

I'm not asking if he'd be a candidate of such high regard for the Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss State, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Florida, and TCU jobs. The question is would he be held in high regard as a candidate for LSU job?

I think you probably know the answer (not that Napier is a bad coach)

Please send the link that can verify any of these schools offered him anything.

Also, why is this guy so "above" schools as those where he would stay at ULL? Seems like he thinks a bit too highly of himself, no?

Napier may be able to come in and establish the locker room. But no one knows what he will be able to do with the offensive and defensive schemes.

Riley comes in and automatically establishes LSU as an offensive leader and a QB magnet.

Who TF knows what will happen in the future. Who is best for LSU, who will flame out.

lol. I’m really here just to read shite like this. Wow. Imagine Scott Woodward putting his entire career and legacy on the line and putting it in the hands of Billy Fukin Napier. The only thing funnier is the people think it’s already a done deal, that he was the first choice, and somehow Napier has the leverage to tell LSU they can’t announce till he finishes his worthless season in the sunbelt conference. I literally watched Kelly leave an undefeated Cincinnati team high and dry right before their sugar bowl game against Florida and head to South Bend. Yet Napier’s situation is more important?

Did you say the same thing about Tom Herman?
Napier carries about the same risk that Herman did. Only big difference between the 2 is Herman is under the Urban Meyer tree while Napier comes from Saban.
