I've said it before, though... I'd be ok with the hire, but mainly because my many aggee friends would lose their collective shite.
Most certain thing in this thread is that Objective Tiger is anything but a tiger and is full of shite.
My prediction was Kiffin at the start. I'm now leaning towards Aranda or someone from left field. (Get it? Left as in West coast as in Oregon?)

You better get some new sauces. Jimbo it is. This has been in the works for two years at least. Why would Woody give his good friend Jimbo a contract with no buyout. Why when A&M extended his contract did Jimbo insist on no buyout. Pretty obvious if Jimbo was planning on staying at A&M he wouldn't care about a buyout. Without a buyout LSU will make Jimbo the highest paid coach in football and his friend Woody will say we had to pay him that much to get him. Riley was never coming to LSU but Woody will say he couldn't wait on a new coach till after the season. It will be Jimbo.

He would leave A&M because from what the large majority have speculated is that LSU is his dream job, if we would've had a half competent AD in '16 he'd be here already. I think if we offered him the same salary he has in College Station, and not a cent more, he'd still jump ship to coach here.

I'm sorry if you think my opinion sucks, but I just think we can do better.
It baffles me that LSU is one of the best athletic programs in the country...hires the best possible coaches for other sports (baseball, wm basketball, men basketball, etc.), but we always settle for dog crap for the one real money making sport.
With all our resources. All the advantages we have as a program. We would choose Jimbo Fisher. That's just wild to me and really foreign.

You know, there's a rather large percentage of the people on this board that are thinking it's likely to be a big splash hire but think that Aranda is the best choice. SW is a smart man. Maybe he's reached the same conclusion (that Aranda is the best choice). We are just going to have to wait and see.

I’ve always liked jimbo… nobody needs to be forced to work for a college with only male cheerleaders… if we can’t get saban, I’m fine with jimbo

Jimbo will never be an Aggie, no matter how hard he tries. The price of admission is a degree from A&M. He will always be on the outside, just be a hired hand. At LSU he can be the Head Tiger, and he knows it. Everyone who's been the only non Aggie in a group of Aggies has felt this.

I usually agree with most of what you have to say Crazy Carl, but this time around, I’m not buying it. It’s been widely reported that Woodward is keeping a tight lid on what’s going on with the hiring, yet, everyone on message board and social media already know it’s going to be Jimbo because it’s been leaked out of the AD office? How’s the for a Christmas miracle? How easy was that for everyone just to easily find out what Woodward is doing behind closed doors?
We went through this exact same circus last time. All we need is Herman’s name to throw around. IMO, Jimbos name has been intentionally leaked to the media and to social media “insiders” because he’s the easiest name to believe will be hired considering how many time it’s been thrown around at LSU. And look how that plan has worked. Everyone is convinced that it’s Jimbo already and it’s barely been 2 weeks.
This is what’s going on here….
