I think this is false. I think most are willing to admit saban is better than miles. however, a lot of the people who tear down miles compare him to saban as if they can find another saban or get him back.

p.s. my opinion, saban leaves. I believe he feels he's done everything he can do at bama/college. The only thing left before he is to old is prove he can coach at the n.f.l. level. I think he's goal oriented and that eats at him.

i'll trade a bama n.c. all day for him to be gone!

Saban definitely had a bad rep with assistants and staff while at LSU, as only the most loyal ones stuck around. Other than Fisher, Dooley, and Muschamp, there was a steady revolving door in and out of BR for his 5 year tenure. And if you look at where those guys went, most weren't taking promotions. They were making lateral moves, or even in a few cases, taking demotions to get out.

However, this hasn't been as much the case in Saban's time at Bama. It seems that a lot of that staff has stuck together, and that when people have left, it has been for better jobs. Other than Major Applewhite (who seemed to be and overrated coach and a bad fit), the Bama staff isn't leaving unless they have a good reason to. In other words, it seems that Saban learned from the past and loosened up a little on the underlings.

As for Saban leaving Bama, I think he would if he were younger. He could become the only coach to win titles at three different schools in college, or could probably win a Super Bowl if he stuck it out and was willing to adapt to the ways of the NFL. However, at his age, I doubt he coaches anywhere else. He probably has 4-6 good years left, and it would be silly to walk away from Bama and leave 2-3 titles on the table.

Are you referring to Kirk Doll, Leroy Ryals and Tim Walton?
They are the only members of the 2003-4 staffs
who didn't go on to much greener pastures or higher profiles immediately upon leaving Saban.

I wonder what his incentives are like in his contract. I wonder after every title if the lawyers gotta come up with some new incentive.

Like is it in his contract if he wins 2 NC back to back he gets 2 mill more raise over what he's making now. He could probably ask for something like that and get it.
