How many national champion coaches have moved voluntarily to another university in the past twenty years?

Urban Meyer with "health issues" then to the NFL.
Jimbo Fisher, who left a train wreck.

This idea of luring away a championship coach that is actually still worth getting is asinine.

I don’t think I’ve seen that at all honestly.

That pretty much limits us to Saban Dabo Jimbo and Meyer

I actually haven’t seen anyone say this and most names being thrown around, or all names really, haven’t won a championship.

Or at least not a national championship as a head coach.

Jimbo really is the only one and he’s not the popular option he was back in 16.

Jimbo wanted out due to his personal life. A&M certainly isnt a train wreck currently. And much better off than under Sumlin

The hell with how many he has “won”
We need a coach who has his mind set on “winning” here and doing it consistently.

Everybody wants some retread .

MuH BiG NaMe. Not even worth arguing over. I even heard someone refer to Napier earlier as a “good ole boy hire “. but would want jimbo.

I think LSU is a program that’s just waiting for the right coach to take over the best tradition in all college as far as I’m concerned. Be it Napier , Aranda , or y'all's White whales. This type of opportunity doesn’t come along that often. With the fertile recruiting grounds and an AD like SW , willingness to improve facilities if needed, coaching with other great coaches, and playing in the SEC will have them thinking long and hard about turning down this opportunity!

Ya know thats pretty easy to prove incorrect, right?

Sumlin - 6 years at Aggieland
51-26 .662
Years ranked 2 (33%)
Bowl record 3-2 (No appearances in NY6 or CFP games)

Jimbo - 3+ years at Aggieland
31-12 .721
Years ranked 3 (75%)
Bowl record 3-0 (One appearance in NY6 or CFP games)
Highest end-of-year ranking since 1939

Not even close to being the same

And Mack Brown, who is doing a good job at UNC. Although, Brown's championship with Young is very similar to CEO's championship with Burrow.

Sumlins first 3.5 years are exactly equal to Jimbo through 3.5 years. Nice try though.
