I do think Dabo or Norvell would strongly consider Aggies

but I have no idea on either's buyout.

It would get both coaches out of the ACC and into the SEC with the uncertain future the ACC is about to face.

Dabo would be an easier hire right now as Norvell is still in playoff contention and Dabo might be tired of the under appreciated status he is starting to feel at Clemson and he would also have a better recruiting base in the state of Texas to get talent from.

You mean a repeat of a disaster hire with Jimbo Fisher. I think Texas A&M should hire someone with coordinator like one of UGA DC. Trust Texas A&M tried to get Oregon HC. Why not do the same think what Oregon did? Go after one that is doing very well on a winning team. Why is it all about paying top dollars for a HC that might flopped like Fisher?

Neither will consider it for anything more than a raise, nor will A&M consider them.

Why would either strongly consider the Aggies? Norvell is possibly about to be in the playoff this year and had an outstanding first year. He is not in jeopardy of losing his job anytime soon. He is also playing in a much weaker conference and should have his team either in or fighting for a playoff spot every year. Why throw that away to go to a place/conference that is much harder with higher, albeit unrealistic, expectations. Dabo is absolutely beloved at Clemson. He has brought them 2 national championships and played in 4. Like Norvell, he is in no danger of losing his job. I could see him taking the Bama job at some point, but I don't know why he would leave what he currently has at Clemson. I know this year has been tough, but I do think he will figure it out and will have to allow both transfers and NIL.

Yes, I’m sure Dabo, at this point in his career, wants to take on a middling SEC team with unrealistic expectations from the school and fans. Where some of you come up with this stuff, I have no idea.

Dabo's current salary is $10.88 million in 2023, how high would aTm have to go to get him to leave Clemson? 12 million? 13 million? to go from an easier route to the playoffs to the grinder that is the SEC.

Norvell is making $8.05 million in 2023 and is looking at an increase should he do well in the playoffs this year.

Logically, I can't really envision either leaving their present positions to take over aTm.

Both are in far better situations with much less pressure from boosters

A&M needs to go with a smart young up and coming coach that will recruit relentlessly and is also an X&O's guy on one side of the ball.

I don't see Norvell leaving. He'll get another raise and he's starting to get HS recruiting rolling

he’s won more in a 8 year stretch than A&M has their whole existence. If Clemson fans are really that stupid and are angry with Dabo they’re more delusional than A&M fans. They’ll never have it better than what they have right now.
