Be careful boys, the suck is coming. Jayden won't be here next year and that defense is way more than one year away... Kelly has had his best years, he will not get better..Kelly is a proven 9-3 guy..7-5 next year..

He’s a perfect fit. Hopefully UF gives him a fat raise and an extension.

Eli Drinkwitz came from the Sun Belt to Mizzou and seems to be ready for it.

Eli Drinkwitz is fricking terrible. I love how his overall record is 26-21, he finished .500 or lower in his first 3 seasons, and he’s having one good but not great season and he’s suddenly a big name. He’ll regress to the mean next year and be fired by 2027

I am glad that LSU isn't ranked higher than Mizzou. I believe Kelly is the one you should be upset because he will never get LSU to win a championship.

yes, but Napier didn't get it done at Louisiana Cajuan when he was there for a long time.

Didnt get what done?

2 top 16 finishes in his 4 years there.
4 of his 5 OL starters on 2020 squad are current NFL starters on the OL

Winning a championship game. Isn't that what everyone fans want in a HC?

They were up on LSU 35 31 2 weeks ago... then the game turned...

It isn't like they aren't competitive.

FSU lost their QB...will be interesting

Exactly. It’s not like Florida had a first round draft pick at quarterback or anything when he got there and they didn’t have years of top 10-15 recruiting classes and a full roster.

Coaches don’t just walk in and play for conference championships in their first year or two. If a new coach comes into a rebuild a wins 8-10 games in his first 2 years he’s pretty damn good. Idk who out there could accomplish that stuff outside of a Saban

A conference championship?

He did win the sun belt in 2021. 2020 the SBCG got canceled.

Jim Mcelwain did it.

Won 10 games his first year, 9 games his second year and won his division and played in the SECCG both years.

The SECE wasn't nearly as stout as it is now. Georgia wasn't very good then.

I agree.I was alluding to that in response to the comment that a coach that plays in a conference championship game must be a good coach, as there are examples of coaches who weren't that good like MacElwain accomplishing that feat.

I think even florida fans would admit SBB is a really bad in-game coach. Shockingly bad tbh. BUT as we saw w Coach O, a guy like that can succeed w A plus coordinators and talent. And maybe that works for Sun Belt Billy, but is a very difficult model to sustain as we found out.

There a lot of good coaches that have come through the Sun Belt. Not sure why you keep mentioning that.

Eli at Mizzo is pretty good.

Hugh Freeze's first HC job was in the Sun Belt. Jeff Brohm has Louisville at 10-1 and in the ACC title game. his first HC job was WKU while they were in the Sun Belt. Those are just a few examples off the top of my head.

WKU was in CUSA when Jeff Brohm was their HC.
Bobby Petrino was the HC at WKU when they were in the Sunbelt. Then Petrino went to Louisville.

How would you know that? I guess he was in no hurry to build the football program. Kelly was the one that wanted to win now and that might backfire on him down the road. I really do think Fisher didn't try harder to get Texas A&M to be a top 15 team. Drinkwitz had to get the roster set. It took him4 years to get to win 10 games. Next year I think the team will be better than this current team.

If FSU opens a can on UF that may change. UF is likely feeling pressure after A$M exited Jimbo with 7 wins.
