How would the board feel about DA?

HC - Aranda
OC - Herman
DC - Jones
After all the hype and ultimate cock tease with Riley, I honestly would be stoked with this combination. All 3 guys are young, innovative and hungry.
Recruiting may be a question mark but I feel like with DA being a HC, he knows how important recruiting is to the life blood of a program.
From a Xs and Os standpoint we would be set. I think all 3 of these guys would also build schemes around the players and not try put a square peg in a round hole.

Can’t be happy with Rhule and not be happy with Aranda. Both have the same 10-2 Baylor “claim to fame”.

I would have my #1 choice as HC. I would be happy. we dodged LR, that would have been bad.

I'd be cautiously optimistic about Aranda. I worry about his ability to recruit, but there is no doubt he is very intelligent and dilligent.

If after all this they hire Dave Aranda and he keeps Daronte Jones as his DC, I'll be at a loss for words.

Rhule took over an absolute mess and left Aranda a solid team.

Aranda is great at Baylor because recruiting is not as important. In the SEC west you have to get top 5 classes every year if you want to compete for championships. He can hire all the recruiters he wants, but it doesnt matter because it will be him who will be counted on to close the deal. He isnt that guy. Saban is a closer. Dabo is a closer. Jimbo is a closer. That kind of coach is required in the SEC West.

Aranda and Gundy are the two best gameday coaches not in the SEC. Both a hell of a lot better than Riley.

I would be just fine with this. Jones has really flipped the script on this defense the 2nd half of the season.
Herman is still a good offensive guy and I'm assuming he would be good at QB development.
