Let's say the plan does go through. Here is what you will have.

1)Arguably the best secondary coach and recruiter in the country in Raymond. (DBU)

2)Arguably the best D-line coach and recruiter in the country in Ogeron and Jenkins. (return of d-line U)

3)Arguably one of the best play callers and qb coaches in America in Kiffin.

4)Arguably one of the best defensive coordinators/lb coaches in the country in Aranda.

5)Arguably one of the best recruiters in the South East in Craig, His wr's seem to be getting better so he may be a pretty good technical coach as well.

6)One of, if not the best N.O. recruiters in Jabar J, No one can question the running back production this year.

So, you are down to Grimes, Bradley Dale, and S.E. I'd be surprised if O keeps Bradley Dale, there is a good chance this position could be an upgrade. Grimes is a maybe, grimes has proven to be a solid recruiter and technical coach. I wouldn't be shocked if he tried to bring in Kevin M. I think he probably keep's S.E. around as t.e. coach since he has kiffin for qb's.

That is as good as staff as any program in America can put together. I don't think that is the end of the world. I think lsu continues to recruit lights out, If O continues to let the coaches coach, there aren't many better at their respective positions, lsu would be fine.

No, this isn't a post to pimp O for the position. It is a post for those Melting over the "possibility" of O.

Now what if O has to replace that staff?

Retaining Coach O would be a disaster.

When O is fired in 3 years we can go get Fleck and not have to hear this shite about him needing more experience.

Aranda and Pete are on borrowed time.

Same with Kiffin IF he comes...

You continue to pay and get the top coaches in their respective areas expertise.

Yep, Lsu has two first rounders and a third pro in the secondary right now. They probably have two to three eventual pros on the pine. Everyone wants him including the team we play this week.

I'm starting to think we shouldn't take ANYTHING we hear from here until January at face value. Not doubting Random knows people, but I find it hard to believe after last years fiasco that they would let any credible info leak out in any fashion.

So replacing your offensive and defensive coordinator every 2 years or so sounds like a sustainable program to you?

We would be dog shite

The plan is terrible because it depends heavily on having two coordinators who will most likely be head coaches soon.

He's a great recruiter and we bring in some of the best talent at that position, but they definitely aren't the top coached unit.

Those programs have the 3 best coaches in the game. Lsu is considering promoting its dline coach who was a total failure at his only hc job. Totally different situations.

How you know we would be replacing every two years? What if Charlie strong is fired and you get him as d.c.? Great recruiter, proven to be one of the best d.c.'s in the s.e.c. for a long period. You only have him for two years?

Kiffin has failed as a h.c. twice. One, If you are paying him close to 2 million as a o.c., how many h.c's gigs you think he will get paying more? I doubt one of the big boys comes looking for him as a h.c., If he does leave, you think you can't find one of the best o.c's in the land at 2 mil?

You guys melted over K.S. too. That wasn't the end of the world. AU has one of the best defenses in the conference.

Clemson hasn't had problem replacing coaches.

Kirby smart was at Bama for 8 years......

There offensive coordinators have changed under Saban, but some are due to Saban giving them a gentle nudge in another direction
