Freeze couldn’t demand a salary that high. He would be grateful to get another opportunity at this level.

Kiffin or Rhule more possible.

Aranda? not with the backslide in success this season, but I also don’t know his current salary.

Lanning? I just don’t see him being able to demand that much but it’s possible.

Not BoB or Sanders. But I can see Sanders demanding that kind of money just because he’s prime. Lol

Interesting if true

I think you can argue LSU and USC reset the market. They paid a ton for established coaches at established programs and have reaped immediate benefits with teams in the playoff hunt in November of year 1. Jimbo is the cautionary tale of giving a guy an unnecessarily huge extension based on one outlier good season.

Urban Meyer. Maybe he wants to come back to the SEC and give it one more go — be the first coach to win a national championship at 3 different colleges.

If McElroy knows then it is Bill Obrien.

Auburn is desperate enough to throw that kind of money at urban.

Urban Meyer and Saban in the same state. Sign me up.

Or a totally out of left field candidate like James Franklin which everyone goes wtf or laughs.

I’m not laughing. I’ve been saying it’s Franklin since Harsin was fired. I can see him thinking reasonable offers are low balls.

What about Mr. My head hurts/ my finger wasn't in her butt? Urban might want back in now that Saban looks to be on his way out.

100MM to leave. Meaning a current coach.

Has to be Kiffin or Freeze and I doubt they'd lowball Kiffin.

Freeze is not demanding a 9 figure contract, he would take what he could get to be at a place like Auburn.

Freeze just got a huge contract at Liberty and basically has lifetime job security there.

He's also an enormous slimeball. Mel Tucker got $95m guaranteed and cash is a lot less valuable than it was last year. 100% could see Hugh Freeze asking for 100/10.

I think at this point in his career it'll have to be an overwhelming opportunity across the board, not just cash alone.

Lincoln Riley type offer. That's the best comp for Kiffin IMO. Young, exciting, offensive minded head coach that can recruit and has a great pedigree.

Just an absurd offer Riley got with perks out the wazoo.

Urban doesnt want any part of the SEC these days. Notre dame or USC last year wouldve been his if he hadnt had the scandals the previous season.

What makes Auburn a better job than Ole Miss? Genuine question. I don't see Lane creating another shite storm for a little bump in money.

If Kiffin is the guy McElroy is speaking of that is no little bump in money. I am by no means a financial guru but $100M sounds like more than just a "little bump" from $30M.

If low ball, guessing Freeze as they think he is anxious to jump back in to P5 and would be willing to do it on the cheap.

Except much better job security. I also think MS talent is rich and easier to get to Ole Miss than AL talent to Auburn.

Ole Miss will pay as much as Auburn too.

So really the big difference is a better stadium environment and better chance to win a title, but you risk being fired in 2 years.

Highly doubt Kiffin is in the middle of negotiation the week before he plays Alabama.

he is worth more today then after a loss on Saturday, but would be worth more after a win on Saturday....
