Kiffin makes 7.5 so I doubt he would even consider moving unless it was 9 and guaranteed. He's not getting fired from Ole Miss, he could easily get fired at Auburn.

I’m assuming 9 figures over a decade similar to Kelly

I’d guess Rhule

With Rhule, you could pay him 1MM and year and dump into assistants. Let the Panthers carry that bill

Likely Kiffin, bad time to have to hire a high end coach, money is worth less now and others like Jimbo etc have raised the ceiling.

And in his presser he would make it sound like he has been successful at every stop

I listened. McElroy said the coach wants 100MM to leave. Meaning a current coach. Only two names are being talked about that are current coaches.

If McElroy is to be believed (and there's some reason for doubt), it has to be Kiffin.

The question is, is this a serious negotiation or just Sexton being Sexton angling for a bigger raise from Ole Miss?

The four-year-max contract deal would definitely be a point in our favor.

Highly doubt Kiffin is in the middle of negotiation the week before he plays Alabama.

Of course he's not. His agent is.

Guessing here, but I think the Panthers would sue Auburn or Rhule if that were the case. Probably some stipulation about market value.

While simultaneously lowering the floor for success. 8-4 garners 100 mil. Insanity.

Rhule doesn’t have any kind of offset clause so Carolina is paying him that money regardless of if he works or not.

Why would they lowball Kiffin? Makes zero sense.

Exactly! Kiffin's agent should've made it known to the Auburn folks what his starting rate would be, so that the offer wouldn't come across cheap.

Not really. There are things we put in the contracts that even it out. Kiffin is likely going to make over $10 million this year and his base is $7.5
