If Chip Kelly is the gay one he's making the right choice. LA gay scene is tons better than Gainesville, and probably way easier to keep it on the down low.

I'm not seeing any sources for this.

How do you know Scott Frost's best friend?

Ever heard of Matt Davison? Caught the "kickarooski" back in '97 vs. Mizzou? He still works as a commentator during Husker broadcasts and has hinted that Frost is coming home... pretty much everything except flat-out saying he's coming.

My "sauce" is a guy who actually lives in New Orleans now. I see him every Saturday when the Nebraska contingent in the area meet up at Tracey's to watch the games. His dad is a doctor who repaired Scott's brother's harelip as a kid, and they now live next door to the Frosts. His nephew plays football for Parkview Christian, where Frost's father is head coach.

U don’t think California is just as loaded ?? The talent is there if Kelly recruits well enough they will be playing to contend

He's on a morning radio show in St Louis that is only tangentially sports related. I'm not saying he's definitely full of shite. But I find it hard to believe he's got any actual sources.

I can at least confirm that this happens. I've seen them there.

I hope his sources are better than Herbie's before the '07 SEC Championship game. Per Herbie's "sources" Miles was guaranteed to be heading up north to Michigan. If I was a talking head at ESPN or the SEC Network, I'd hold off on trying to project coaching changes...doesn't seem to work out often.

McElroy just happened to play the game of his life in 09 against UF.

He threw up shite and came up gold on every play.

Talent is definitely there. USC/UCLA can recruit the vast majority of their kids from CA, pluck a few kids from TX and FL, and field great teams.

So im sure this “friend” came to you saying hey, dont tell anyone but Scott is coming to Nebraska.
And you come post it on a message board, throwing him out to the masses of ppl you dont know.

Sounds legit
So either youre full of shite or you cant be trusted when a friend confides in you
Or both

You have to remember. The media is used as pawns in negotiations by agents/coaches. Who's to say a Florida insider didn't "leak" this information in order to get FLORIDA to move quickly and/or make an even bigger offer? If I were Kelly's agent I would force the two schools into a bidding war.

Herman to LSU was a "done deal" last season. Herman and his agent almost assuredly wanted to see if Texas was going to get into the mix. Coming up on the end of the season Texas still hadn't made a move. Then, the news comes out that LSU will hire Herman in a few days. Who do you think put that out? It sure as hell wasn't LSU. That was a bat-signal to Texas -- you better get off your arse or I'm going to LSU!

contract was or was not signed, that said, i think it was.

It is normal to agree in principal without signing a contract (coaching) for a pretty long period.

It's what saved Alabama from paying Price 10-15 million dollars after he'd been there for the spring. Once he was caught with a stripper and his contract had not yet been signed it cost him a ton of money.
