New USC AD Mike Bohn has been impressed with Clay Helton with the Trojans head coach in his time around him. And USC president Carol Folt, nearly as new on the job as Bohn, also is a believer in Helton, is very comfortable with him and likes the tone of his leadership, people with knowledge of the situation tell The Athletic.

No he hasn't. He's a mediocre head coach. Why do you defend him so much?

“Fine” is not good enough at USC. Especially when the pac 12 is there for the taking. They have no reason not to own that league

I know they really would've preferred he lost to UCLA.

Wait a couple of weeks and I think the Franklin chatter heats back up.

Why did they choose to make him permanent head coach but not O after he went 6-2?

I have no idea where this Franklin stuff comes from. SC has no interest in him.

USC should not be shooting for "fine".

They should be shooting for "destructor of worlds".

Holy cow!! I just checked. Their highest rated commit would be the 18th highest rated commit if he were committed to LSU. That's insane with that base.

His job status has killed them on the trail.

I'd like to see another year with Harrell as oc, but recruiting may make it tough to keep him

Wow. That class is awful.

They only have 10 commits and their highest rated commit is #286 nationally and #25 in the state of California.

That is unacceptable at USC.

Helton is awful.

Honestly if you're SC if you don't have someone lined up that you know would be a big upgrade then why make the move now and potentially set yourself back another 3-5 years with another mediocre coach?

That said are you telling me SC can't pry PJ Fleck out of Minnesota? Much rather he go there than wind up at Auburn or some shite in 2 years

Offer the job to Urban Myer and see if he's willing to come

If this is true, there will literally be no USC fans in Dallas for the game against Alabama next year.

What a shame, even a few years ago when we got blown out, it was a good time in Dallas against the Tide. No way in hell am I going to spend my hard earned money to travel to games when the school no longer cares about football.

I need LSU to schedule a USC game in LA just so Ed O can wreck shite up on the loser mentality that is USC now and then laugh in Helton's face.

Because we enjoy being able to successfully poach recruits from Cali.
