Four years as a head coach. Two at Troy, two at Tulane. Feels too much like the old Boise St. and App. St. coaching legacies. They were great at small schools, then got whipped by the big boys.

“ He took over a team that had a record of 23-5 for the two seasons before him”

But lost his stud quarterback to duke for 2.5 million. How much did opposing teams bid on Nuss?

He will most likely end up at Auburn…

Did look like a well coached team to me. Many penalties and he seemed to not care

His team plays down to the competition. He took over a good program and lost 5 games last year? Got blown out last week against a team with a losing record?

Disgusting.

Jeff Traylor flat out outcoached him. UTSA.

And look at what Willie Fritz is doing now. Fritz appears the gem to me. Not Sumrall.

Hype guys are cool but maybe not for the HC. SABAN was the perfect no nonsense hard azz but didn’t need to curse and scream because he’s intelligent

He took over a team that had a record of 23-5 for the two seasons before him and in a year and a half he has them at 15-7. Not bad, but not worthy of this sort of a jump up.

He also lost an outstanding QB who transferred out for a shitload of money. What Sumrall was lift with wasn't exactly top notch caliber

Did you just conflate a bowl-eligible LSU with a 3-4 UTSA?

Wait til Memphis blows him out tonight. No way Tulane should have lost to UTSA

"That's my No. 1 rule when it comes to hiring people: Hire good people. Like, no a-holes allowed," Sumrall said. "So that's how we do it. And then the nonnegotiables: compete, like every freaking day, be high energy and bring it all the time."

Like he sounds amazing like, but no thanks

Immediately makes me think about Brian Harsin. Was terrrific at Boise state, horrific at Auburn
