If this is true Haden just went full retard. Kiffin without the all out doucheyness. You are freaking USC dont make the mistake of just hiring a "usc guy." Sark has been ok at UDub but hes been a huge disappointment. Seems all 5 of his years there they started with pre or early season hype and ranking only to tank to 7-5. SC is much better than that. I know what going through stupid hires like Kiffin and Sark is like from growing up with Dubose Franchione Shula as a Bama fan. Hopefully for yall Im wrong about Sark or this isn't true.

He helped rebuild UDub's program by lobbying for new facilities, assistants, etc.
I think he will win lots of games at USC where the talent will be several tiers above UDub.

i am completely baffled by this hire. IMO, if you aren't going to land a huge hire, just let Coach O hang on until you can find someone better. I don't know that Sarkisian is better than O at this point.

very surprising that there isn't even a Jack Del Rio mention. I thought the timing of him stepping down as Broncos interim was pretty much perfect for USC

Sark probably isn't a terrible hire but they clearly made the Michigan/Hoke decision and brought in "one of their own". I expected them to throw some dollars around and get some big names in the conversation.
