So we hire young, and Saban hires retreads.

I'm sure they will be fine, because he has his system down, but I prefer our hires.

They have 3 ex nfl head coaches on staff meanwhile none of our coaches have been coordinators...kind of wild

I forgot Orgeron's stint as USC DC

Stoutland is likely staying in the NFL.

The future is young aggressive coaches that can make needed adjustments on the fly.

Bama is hiring old dinosaurs that are so ingrained in doing things their way they refuse to change.

I expect the Gumps to be going through a revolving carousel of crappy coaches if they continue going this direction.

I don't care whether they have Nick Satan, if you hire piss poor coaches everyplace else, it will eventually come back to haunt you in time.

BOB failed as a GM. Neither he nor Marrone are running the show. I expect them to do well in their respective coaching positions with 5* everywhere.

They may not hold him if things keep going south at UT. He’s been mentioned as a possible head coaching candidate there. Unless they go the interim route for 2021, that is.

I actually like Marrone and would be pumped for this hire if I was a Bama fan.

This is delusional. The fact that all of these coaches flock to Saban says a lot.

Even their analysts are former power 5 SEC coaches.

You prefer guys that have never been coordinators at any level to guys that were NFL head coaches?

The University of Alabama: where every fired coach goes to ride Nick Saban's coattails into a new opportunity.

Marrone has decades of experience coaching OL at the college and pro level, including a couple of stops at SEC schools.

He also has college and NFL coordinator and head coaching experience.

He’s widely regarded has a very good OL coach. This is a home run hire. He and BOB also coached together earlier in their careers, so there is familiarity between the two.
