No. Even if this is a disaster search and LSU got played by Riley while everybody else fell off the board, it'd still only be equal to the Alleva search.

I would like to wait until the coach is selected to see. But when you go after your guy and don't get him, you should have a backup plan. Alleva didn't have that and went to the guy he knew wanted the job instead of continuing the search. O wasn't going anywhere.

The problem with the big programs, is they are all looking for the home run hires instead of looking for the good hires, imo.
Which is why you have the rinse and repeat of Tennessee, Florida, Texas and Texas A&M. LSU is probably entering that group.
Over hype eventually leads to disappointment.
