Coach o has played the political game like a master. He has made friends with the media by opening practice and being honest with injury reports. He has recruited boosters playing on the local la boy angle. Meanwhile we have fans convinced coach o is better at his job than jimbo fisher. It's insane.

I would want Jimbo and Herman(if he ain't locked in at Texas) first and 2nd but after that it's a crap shoot.

That way the interim coach could not have used the season as an "audition" and we could have had a clean search. This shouldn't surprise anyone and it's not unique to Louisiana, although there is a special kinda stupid among some of the fans.
Emotional movements, hires, elections -not based on rational thought - are happening all too often and it's only getting worse with social media.
From BLM, to Trump supporters (will see a huge rain of down votes, but it is what it is), to Miles and O supporters, none of these people are rational.
We're in a social media, soundbite controlled world. It kinda sucks...

Why has Jimbo's team looked very average to bad in some games this season? O's team held Bama to zero points until the 4th quarter and has taken care of business in the other games.
I don't know that O would be a better pick than Jimbo, but the players play hard for O and I think we'd be fine with either coach. Much like most head coaches, you live & die by how good your assistant coaches are.
Is O incapable of hiring great assistants? Is not having high dollar assistants the reason why Jimbo has looked very average this season?

I'll give you petty, but ignorant because I think the resumes from other candidates or better than O?
I'm sorry. That's just a fact.
And FSU is rebuilding. LSU has been in rebuild mode going on 5 years and this was the opportunity to win some hardware.
That's not O'a fault.
I'm just pointing out that FSU can have rebuild years too and Fisher's resume is easily way above Orgeron and our fans want to GIVE him the job based on 8 games.

its crazy how they've built the narrative that this is Jimbo vs. O.....They throw Jimbo in as the #1 to appear unbiased and if it falls apart they can scream for O.
O's resume doesn't crack the top 10 of potential coaches that will want this job, yet I'm to believe he's #2? GTFO.

The one positive about this stuff with 0 is that he doesn't get a home game to close out the year. You won't see 0 being carried off on the shoulders of "his" team, or hear "We want Coach 0!" chants. Maybe a little bit, but not in the same way.
You can tell Ponamsky and company are desperately working to replicate last year's situation this year. Won't happen.
