Burrow made Brady took great. Daniels made Denbrock look like a genius. Most OC’s can light it up with an NFLQB and wide receivers. We will be fine if he leaves.

You are in complete denial if you don’t think him leaving wouldn’t hurt.

Good coaches put talented players in a position to succeed.

I’m with you. I think the Brady’s and Sloans of the world associate better with the youth and I think LSU will be in good shape. Nuss even said one of the main reasons he came back was Sloan

This thread sour-grape-illy happened only after denbrock became a candidate.

It never happened before he was a candidate.

Daniels was great. But when do you give the coaches credit?

It’s more than changing the OC. You would lose continuity and the offense would have to learn a new playbook. The BOS should’ve nailed this down by approving the contract.

LSU is running Kellys' offense just like Bama runs Saban's defense.

Coaching gets a lot easier when you are coaching a talented driven kid.

Showing off your talents gets a lot easier when you have a coach who understands what those talents are then sets up an offense and calls plays that exploit them.

Everybody is better when the whole unit is talented and performs.

It's a team sport with a lot of moving parts that either complement or limit each other. Talent is critical for the parts, coaching is critical for those parts to be as effective as possible.

A lot of people deserve credit.

Sometimes changing pieces in the machine, coaches or players, has little effect, and sometimes it has significant effects. Only time will tell.

Don't discount the success Denbrock has had throughout his career, even if you don't include the Daniels era.

This. Go look at his offenses with guys like Kizer and Ridder. Dude fields good offenses regardless of QB and we’re fooling ourselves if we don’t give him credit for it.

This is exactly right. And what I mean by good coaches, or coordinators, is the ability to game plan, adjust the game plan on the fly if needed, have a feel for the game and call the right plays at the right time and call the right plays early to set up other plays later in the game. Denbrock has been really good at this at LSU.

100%. I just laugh at the mental gynastics of people like OP. This time last year, people wanted Daniels to leave because they felt JD couldn't get the job done and wanted Howard or Nuss to get a shot. Fast forward a year, Denbrock and Sloan develop JD into the QB he is and now they're only good coaches because Jayden was so good.

Don't remove credit from them just because the end product that they developed JD into turned out to be great.

Burrow Brady not the same JD5's legs made ALL the difference! MD was so lucky, JB & JD offseason workouts made our O roll and the Oline play
