Not having to leave campus to recruit a singular player is totally going to be the same as beating the bushes around the country for multiple recruits. Pirate King wins again

If you have two wide receiver coaches and one of them is Mickey Joseph, do you actually have two wide receiver coaches?

To be fair, he only helped finish once Chase visited LSU.

Let wait to see if he goes on the road and gets players to come visit.

The overall point of it all is that we brought in Sullivan, a 73 yr old to coach WRs (can’t you just see him sprinting down the field teaching them to bump and run) because our WRs coach can’t coach WRs but is basically just a NO coaches rep. And we got one recruit out of NO, Chase. So between 2 coaching positions we got one kid, and neither are both able bodied and knowledgeable enough to coach WRs. And neither are known for their recruiting prowess. The organization as a whole is terrible, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Elite Offensive athletes are not gonna wanna come play for Orgeron and Ensminger, and when we go 6-6 and miss out on Noah Cain, K Green, and K Thomas maybe then people will start getting the picture.

Nice play on a WR coach but a mangling of the English language

You usually need more than one example to prove a point. Just saying.

Wow, one high school kid likes him. Maybe we should have high school kids make all significant hires for the program, let a different kid make each hire.

The last I read from the “insiders” was that he was 50/50, so yeah, Sullivan helped.

If Dan Mullen wanted Chase he'd be a gator. He may be good if his knee heals correctly.

that's great and all. But we still promoted a fella to OC who didn't want the job and who hasn't been an OC since you and I were in diapers.

The only evidence so far that is relevant to the argument that is age is a detriment is what Chase said in this article.

No point is "proven" with this but it is relevant to the conversation even if some people don't like it.

Since we are talking about recruiting here:

quote:

LSU had been planning to promote Ensminer into the new role well ahead of Jan. 12 weekend. That was quite clear when the newly minted coordinator broke down tape with Foster in the film room as the Tigers’ quarterbacks coach made an impression on the team’s top target at the position. “We talked a lot about how the offense is going up-tempo and will include a lot of no-huddle. Basically, they’re doing the same thing as my offense in high school,” Foster said.

“We sat down, broke down film; we broke down my film and some of their film. Some of the plays that they run are similar to what I ran in high school. It’s some of the same stuff with tempo, a lot of RPO game.
