The way jimbo has responded to the ? I'm starting to believe.. I'm telling u it's been a different team over there soon after miles was gone. He was close last year whether Ppl believe or not. I think jimbo knew he would be at Lsu not long after miles was fired.

I don't see why Jimbo wouldn't want to keep him. He's the hottest DC in the country right now.

The problem is keeping him long term.

I believe Jimbo is done and has been done for a long time.

Would be a great hire. Arguably the best hire "on paper" that LSU has ever made.

Could very well fail here (like any candidate), but it's really not debatable how tremendous of a hire it would be for LSU to lure a championship-winning coach from a similar-caliber program like Florida State

Is it okay to want "bigger" change than Jimbo? Sure, I get it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But it's a fact that LSU hiring Jimbo Fisher is a solid hire on its face.

Jimbo + Aranda = legit potential to compete for championships

I don't know when I've loved a DC as much as I love Aranda. Seriously. The guy is incredible and is going to change the way the game is played, in my opinion. He's the defensive version of Urban Meyer. We need to do whatever we can to keep him.
same here. which is why we need to make him HC. its a gamble obviously but there is no home run, not even fisher, and great defensive minds are harder to find than great offensive minds.

if we let him leave, we will regret it.

oh and this guy is full of shite about fisher.

It was probably also a gentlemen's agreement for you to keep this quiet. See how they work?

BB as HC, Saban as DC, herman as OC and O as recruiter. If it's not that then we're doomed.

So has Houston. Are we double dipping to cover ourselves just in case?

No. Don't be dumb. Everyone knows all these agreements are done in the Coates Hall bathrooms. That's where the real "handshake agreements" happen.

What is wrong with you man? You've gone from wanting to hire the dline coach to hiring the first year DC. I agree aranda is probably the best DC in the conference, and quite possibly the nation.

But there are other options out in the world. Guys who have proven something. Try to Look past what's right in front of you.

I would actually be excited/intrigued about aranda, but he should still be behind jimbo, herman, and chip.

ive always had fisher in front of oregeron, and a month ago i had herman in front of both. its a fluid situation, and thats good imo, locking onto one candidate no matter what at this point is a mistake.

herman is off my list completely at this point, and chip was never on it because he'd be a disaster, he is not a saban-like situation coming back from the NFL.

as good as fisher is, he is not a home run. FSU should not be as bad as they are this year. so there is no home run, every candidate has questions. that makes taking a chance on Aranda a lot easier.

Why? Because of two losses?

You shouldn't judge a guy off of half of a season when his overall resume says otherwise. Besides, FSU is two plays away from being a one loss team so far with a freshman QB.

Two bad losses this season and a very short resume' as a head coach.

Eh...i dont agree, but oh well. The losses are concerning but he is definitely still on the short list for me. I agree his resume is short, but still impressive for the little time he has been HC. It helps his prior OC work is good too, but i do understand your concerns about him. I just think you're weighting the losses too much, imo.

I was offering up an answer for the other guy. I suppose I may have overstepped my boundaries with assumption of what his answer would be.

Herman is still on my list personally, but he's not as high on mine as he is others.
