So apparently we have gentlemen's agreements with Fisher and Herman. If that is the case I guess the only ones who aren't gentlemen is LSU

Will be an awkward welcome luncheon.

Bottom line is you know what you're getting in Jimbo. Herman is hit or miss.

well, I know that I get the bubbly guts when I eat at the taco truck too. Doesn't mean that is the best option for lunch.

You're getting a proven coach with a NC and 2 playoff appearances, that's not equivalent to bubbly guts

I'm with MastrShake about Aranda, but I do think Jimbo is the guy if Alleva doesn't have the chest to hire Aranda. Jimbo will win us an SEC title every three or four years in my opinion

first of all it was a joke Alice, second; watching his inconsistency only tells me he can be successful and he can shite the bed. He shouldn't be his current situation with 3 loses in the ACC. He has obviously made some poor coaching hires and his recruiting is inconsistent. Miles one a NC and went to another, his inconsistency and stubbornness got him fired........ Just sayin'

Oh, and if Jimbo is our HC I will be supportive and not be looking to bash him at every turn. This was just to point out there are questions that should be asked in an interview.

He's handcuffed by the FSU admin. They don't spend money on assistants like we do.

...wut?

FSU is a couple of plays from being a 1 loss team. They're starting a RS freshman QB and it's not like they lost to some pushover teams. The only game they weren't in was Louisville. Let's get real....Louisville caught FSU napping. No one thought Louisville was going to be what they are now. I'd like to see a rematch. I think Louisville would win, but FSU would be in it.

They don't spend as much as LSU, but they pay for assistants.

Get this outta here! We're close to $6 million in assistant coach pay. They pay their lowly DC $583,000....we pay ours $1.3 million. If you think the quality of those two coaches are on par with each other, I've got bad news for you. Higher pay "should" equal better coaches. (Cam obviously didn't fit the mold.)

Kelly signed a new deal before this season. He's up to around a million. A couple of their position coaches make more than ours, so the whole "they don't pay assistants" narrative isn't true.

And their overall budget for assistants is 7th in the country. So, once again, FSU not paying assistants is false.

and a couple plays away from losing to Miami, Ole Miss, and NC State. Cherry picking games is not "getting real".

Have you watched many of FSU's games? Tell me how good his OL is or his defense is. His QB is getting KILLED weekly. This tells me he is inconsistent in a conference that he and Clemson should dominate. Does this mean he sucks...... no, but you can't be blind to that either.

And your statement about his assistants proves you really didn't research that statement, you obviously repeated some stuff another ignorant poster said.

He lost Pruitt because Pruitt couldn't put his pecker up. They have a top 10 assistant budget. But LSU has the #1 assistant budget, literally.

No doubt they stepped up to the plate when they thought Jimbo could be out. I hope we can still land him.

under fsu's new president, this is the first yr they've really come out of pocket and paid more. the former president dindt see the importance of the program and its revenue. example- Jeremy Pruitt leaving for uga. Pruitt went from 500k at fsu to 850 at uga. in Pruitt's only season at fsu, they ranked 1st in pts allowed, 1st against the pass and 3rd total. Pruitt eventually got bumped to 1.3 at uga. probably another reason why fisher's defense has been trending down.
