My friend is well connected in the A&M universe, and tells me that Jimbo wants out of Tallahassee, and he is their #1. Talking about 10 year- $7.5 million a year which would be an absurd and expensive bet on a guy whose 4 & 5 star players totally quit on him this year.

Man from tallahassee to college station. Must be bad if he's wanting to leave.

I wonder if his ex has made it bad for him to tolerate her being anywhere near. Bringing big black dudes in their 20s to the kids pta events and shite.

I’m sure Sexton is telling anyone who will listen Jimbo wants out of tally, for real this time, seriously, pinky promise.

We need to get DALSU on this. He seems to have a great pulse on what Jimbo will do.

But why?

I don't buy the team quitting. Francois is pretty good and to lose him shows why we shouldn't start Myles Brennan. Cam Akers is the real deal.

My guess is Jimbo goes nowhere. Only reason I can see is like the poster above mentioned. His ex made it miserable.

With some ex-wives there comes a point that you really want to put some distance between them and yourself to the point of being willing to start your life over somewhere else. If that is his motivation I can certainly understand it.

We have 3 or 4 on our board that have better connected friends than your connected friend.

We have guys that know stuff about Sumlin that Sumlin himself doesn't know.

There is no reason for Sexton to float Jimbo wanting to leave, unless Jimbo really wants to leave now though. It doesn't make much sense. He's not going to get any more money out of FSU at this point.

Unless aTm folks are floating this out there.

It’s in his best interest to create demand for his client. Jimbo is about to be staff shopping, and this has been a point of contention at FSU. There’s always facilities as well. Just cause he’s not due for an extension doesn’t mean Sexton is gonna leave free leverage on the table in the form of interest from another school.

I have other information from the FSU side - supposedly he really does want out. And A&M is moronic with contracts

well, if you are so convinced put a second mortgage on your home, empty your savings and borrow on your 401(k) and place that bet down man! what can go wrong?

There are a lot of connected people who are talking confidently about Jimbo to A&M. I won't believe it until it happens.

If it does, and we give him 7.5 million per year, then I think that's a good bet. We're willing to pay to win, and Fisher has proven that he's an elite P5 coach, the disappointment this year notwithstanding. You don't go 80-20 (or whatever it is) with 3 ACC championships and a natty in your first 8 years unless you're the real deal. He's the most proven commodity on the market, barring none. He's more proven than Chip Kelly, even.

I would find great humor if LSU fans got to sit back and watch both Florida and aTm get hosed in the same fashion as we have.

Kelly to UF is reported, only to have him head to UCLA.

Jimbo wants out and is heading to aTm, only to remain at FSU.

One can only hope.
