Brandon Streeter is Clemson's new OC.

The QB from Friday Night Lights? I was wondering where he ended up in his coaching career

That's very brave of Dabo to hire an OC in a wheelchair

Majority of these guys have been on the staff for years and far as I know, none have any history with Dabo prior. So, what defines buddies?

Yeah, but you forgot to include that along with Joe, two-thirds of our starters were drafted, several others opted out and we replaced Aranda and Brady.

Moreover, the ACC ain’t the SEC.

A better comparison will be next year.

Given how generous college salaries have gotten I'm surprised that we haven't seen more schools hire their coordinator positions from NFL position coaches.

It wouldn't be a super common thing but you'd think more Clemson, OU, USC, or Florida type schools would find someone who was a good fit

Miami will start recruiting a bit better

It was a long up hill climb, but the ACC throne has to be filled. Be nice if Miami finally took it back.

Mickey Conn was his teammate at Alabama
Streeter was a GA when he was an assistant at Clemson.
CJ Spiller played for him
Tony Elliott played for him
Todd Bates played for him
Tyler Grisham played for him
Lemanski Hall was his college teammate

That’s the majority of his staff from this year. It’s not exactly a secret that he hires mostly former players and teammates. I’d call those buddies. Would you not?

Seems like Willy Korn was the perfect hire for them.

They play in the ACC! They finished behind Pitt, NC State and Wake Forest.

Recruiting 17 year olds has to suck after a while.

Especially if their moms can't cook for shite.

I don't like Clemson, but they didnt have a terrible season this year lol

Terrible comparision.
Lost 3 games, 2 of those in the Might As Well Be Group of 5 ACC! Did lose a fairly close game to UGA in first game but the Faux Tigers went south from there. THey lost to 2 soft as Charmin ACC teams and could have easily lost 2 more conference games.
If they would have been in SECW this year, and played UGA and Vandy as their two SECE opponents, I think they would have lost 4-5 games depending on order of schedule.
Losses- Bama, aTm, Ole Miss, & possiblly LSU and/or Auburn and/or Ar-kansas.
Dabo might pull a rabbit out of a hat but IMO the golden age of Clemson football is ending.

I’m guessing all of these promoted coaches have been on the recruiting trail for the last few years. If Dabo just cleaned house he’d probably lose this years recruiting class and a ton to the transfer portal. Also, they’ve been in the system for years.

Worrying about one recruiting class for long term plans is short-sighted IMO. That one recruiting class won’t matter if the staff you hire can’t coach them. That was something some used to justify hiring Orgeron who was going to retain almost the entire staff, and look where LSU is now

Sure but why are we celebrating the alleged demise on the one that’s not in our division and basically no threat to LSU?

My dislike for Clempsun is somewhat personal, as I grew up in the Lowcountry for the most part before moving to the great state of Louisiana before my senior year.

It's funny how all these people from my old Charleston HS were suddenly Clempsun fans on social media. And my smug brother IL. It was rewarding to provide them game-time narration during the 2019 Championship game. Haven't heard much out of them this year.
