Watch the film, Cutrera isn't slow at all. Not saying he is a great LB, but speed is NOT the issue.

The more and more we talk about this I like this hire even more. I wish he had more of a agressive, attacking style but otherwise I like it.

quickness is an issue with cutrera

he may be in the al woods position of being better suited for a 3-4

I'm warming up or adjusting to the hire, I still would have preferred walker's style but I think chavis can do well here

Our linebackers are not slow, they are not as fast as some converted safeties a la the AU linebackers, but they have speed. What they don't have is confidence in what they are doing, when you hesitate you end up looking way slower. With better teaching & more confidence you can be aggressive without pause.

If they drop a few pounds, so be it ..that is always a trade off but one that should probably happen given the offensive systems invading our league.

Have all of UT's LBs been little guys? I remember he had Leonard Little at MLB once, an wasn't Mayo a pretty big dude?

mayo was 6-1, 240 and i think he put on weight before the combine (and magically didn't lose speed)

Little played DE until his last year in '97.

We've had some bigger LB in Myo, Burnett, etc, but the key w/ them is that they were superior athletes.

he's run an aggressive style in the past so he has that ability. will he be more aggressive with our personnel? I guess we'll see.

I thought Raymond was going with Pevito to NSU? Or did I make that up?
