Where to watch Tigers in Louisville?

Posted by Greg D on 10/21/21 at 2:37 pm
Anyone have any suggested lsu heavy spots?
Anyone have ideas? Looks like Directv won't let you stream cbs for some reason. Really appreciate it. Sometimes timing sucks.
Willford for Blackwell was a major improvement tonight imo.

Classic Miles recruit in that not major recruit that took a little time to grow into a DT body. Really has played great so far this year. Completely unexpected on my part.

Cam Newton - greatest season ever?

Posted by Greg D on 12/5/10 at 11:13 pm
Living in Texas, everyone talks about VY 2005 being the most dominant season they have ever seen.

Just looked it up and Cam is blowing him out as everything but pass yds. Total TD is 48-38 (with one less game). Cam has beat 6 ranked teams (based on today's poll), right?

Tebow's 2007 season may be closest I can think of, but I know he was well short in terms of rushing yds but had more TD's. But that team lost 4 games.

I typically pull against Aub at all cause, but honestly has anyone ever had better season?

The greyshirts are related to the 25 per class rule - not the 85 total rule.

As of today, I believe we are at 80 true schollies for the 2010 team. They will ultimately be back up to 85 by giving some to Graf and similar players one yr schollies. You lose the 9 sr's plus PP and you are 70 players in January - needing 10 attrition candidates. While that seems like a lot, that has become the norm.

If Allen is permeantly gone (I can't figure that one out), we have had nine over the past several months. And that doesn't include the greyshirts.

So if Wing is out, we are good for 25 in last year's class and I think down to 83 overall on roster.

2010 Football Roster Size

With Prater, I believe we are close to the final roster size. I have us at 87 with Dugas, Hagans, J Williams, J Taylor, and Prater gone. Are we still at 26 that count towards 2010 class or is that down to 25?

Looks like (just like normal) getting to 85 will be a non-issue by the fall if we are already at 87. What is nuts is that I believe only 9/87 are seniors.

First Rivals Ratings?

Just curious - when do they come out? Thanks in advance.
There are 9 or 10 available today (it is unsure if Dugas has a schollie). We have to lose at least one more from the 2010 class to get to 25. We then have to lose 5-6 more before fall 2010 to get to 85 for next year. Assuming none of the 5-6 are Srs next year and Peterson leaves as expected, that would put us 17 spots.

That would be before the next year of attrition so it isn't quite as horrific as people make it out to be. We will have room for around 20-22 is my guess.
If Dugas has one (I included Russian), that would put us at 91 max this year which isn't too bad. That being said it is hard looking at the roster and finding six guys you would be ok booting.
Trying to see exactly how many guys are on schollie. Are Dugas or Alleman on scholarship? If both aren't and we finish at 25, I can getting a total of 90 now. That sound right?

Typical SEC TV Schedule Question

Posted by Greg D on 8/2/09 at 12:10 pm
Is this the likely weekly schedule (games listed in order of signifigance?

1) CBS 2:30
2) ESPN 6:45 (or so)
3) ESPN2 6:45 (or so)
4) ESPNU 11:00AM
5) ESPNU 6:00 (or so)

Not looking for specifics, but most weeks is it fair to assuume that the ESPN channels will carry at least this many games? I think I read that ESPN Classic may get some as well, so I would assume certain weeks could have more than this 5 games on national TV. Thanks in advance.
We turning into UT this season? Not saying one way is better than the other, just seems to me this year is filling up significantly quicker than any other.

Franques said he was hitting .268 going into the game against LHP, although my guess is that is inflated by pre-SEC numbers significantly.

What is the line for the Vandy game?

I need to make an interoffice bet asap and can't look at odds at work. Thanks!

Number of touches per game

Posted by Greg D on 2/18/09 at 7:10 am
Pet peave. This comes up often. People say, "It is pathetic that player X only gets blank touches per game." We hear this often w/ Holiday, Keiland, and some young skill guys that haven't played yet.

Please realize we get roughly 60-65 offensive snaps per game. Looking for Holiday to get his 10-12 touches on O, Keiland his 10-15 carries, then you Ridley to get on the field, then we need to throw the ball more to Toliver and other young WR's, etc. You just can't do it all.

Everyone can want someone to be more involved, just realize you need to specify whose touches are being taken away.
J Mitch will hit 6th. Ochinko 7th from what I understand.

Yep, assuming Johns is a 2010 signee we are only 6 over. J Mitch to baseball, one/two 2009 recruits not make grades, and all we are looking at is another 3-4 that need to go which shouldn't be too bad. Crutchfield has to be one unless he improves a boat load.

I value good tackling and being in position about 1000x more than being a hard hitter. I am not even sure Coleman has arms. I am not comparing him to McCray as they play different positions, but I would rather several players at SS over Coleman. Who knows though...
