Post a link as to where that is coming from! I truly can't believe what you are posting and feel it is just made up crap.

Football scoop tweeted it was a possibility yesterday. They are a somewhat credible site that follows coaching searches. I heard his name being mentioned by some people Saturday night. Apparently he is well liked by some LSU donors. No idea what Alleva thinks about him though.

It's ok not to want him because there are better options out there, but don't act like he's not a good coach

Dude is a great coach.. personality sucks. Notre Dame talent has been gutted by academic standards.

His offense is quite good against the Bama style of defense btw. Vertical stem passing routes.

I do think he's a good coach, but he's gotta get his temper under control.

probably be in the minority but while he can be brash, I think he's a very good coach. I don't necessarily want to see him at LSU over the current options that we're weighing, but they sky wouldn't fall for me if it happened

This right here. There's a reason ND hired him, and it's bc he's a proven winner. He's a great coach. He had success at ND, but until ND changes it's admissions standards, or plays a less difficult schedule, there's a ceiling on recruiting.

I don't know or care about his personality. I won't be hanging out with him.

He did pretty damn good at Central Michigan and Cincinnati...got to BCS bowl 2 out of 3 years.

Academic standards at ND make recruiting almost impossible...especially for recruiting the type of athlete Kelly needs to run his version of the read option.

This is my belief, although the ND fan in this thread seems to think he sucks.

Does anyone here think Jimbo or O or Les would have done any better at ND? They play a difficult schedule and handcuff the recruiting.

Kelly would be a very good "bad" hire.

I actually think he's a very good coach. But I don't think his image has ever been worse. The timing is very bad.

To be honest, I would have taken Kelly in an instant over Miles last year. He took Malik Zair and whoever else their QB was and ate our lunch in the Music City Bowl.

He's been a disappointment this year, but I'd rather him over Fedora.

This is a gold rush for Coaches and their agents this year with Texas and LSU openings. Agents are getting their baw's names out there.

As a whole, he's done a solid job at ND. He has some inexplicable game plans though. I remember watching them lose to Navy this year and it was obvious that their OL was way better than the Navy DL and that lining up under center and running down their throats would have won them the game. They stayed spread and got way too cute and lost.

Not smart for Kelly, he is 4-7 likely heading to 4-8.

Kelly is being lobbed out there to show how steep of a drop if it is after Jimbo/Herman....The O supporters are hanging onto this belief.

What happened at ND that was so different from Cincy? He was on fire at Cincy, and suddenly crashes and burns at ND. You can certainly say better competition, but he also had access to some of the best talent in the country.

To be honest, I would be highly tempted to prefer O over this psychotic a**hole.
