Lane's been here for less than 48 hours and has a recruiting class to sign tomorrow. If they can't handle not knowing the entire long-term plan for everyone in the program immediately, then their commitment to LSU (the program) isn't very deep.
Frankly (no pun intended), I think we need to get away from the position coaches having so much power at LSU. It's not a healthy dynamic.

Wilson has Edna Karr and could probably heavily influence Anderson and Hall if he wanted. He may be looking for leverage but there also may be an offer waitiing for him in Texas.

Not sure if related to this but I remember before Kiffin was announced that someone here made a thread about some rumblings about the DeSanto Rollins situation that happened with Kiffin a couple years ago. The thread said something about how there were some friends or family that's in the high school circuit that weren't fans of Kiffin getting the LSU job and they'd try to discourage recruits from playing for him.
I have no idea how much validity or weight this has, could be all bullshite for all I know. Just saying I do remember it being brought up during the coaching search, so maybe this is what Blake is talking about?

If this is about Frank, we have a problem. Lane just said yesterday Frank is coaching the bowl game. If this is Frank, cut him and the entire staff loose now.

How we know there aren't people with New Orleans ties planting in his head that Frank hasn't been retained yet you dont know what's going to happen, hold up on your recruitment. There are guys with New Orleans ties at Texas and USC. I'm pretty sure that's going on too. I'll reserve judgment on this until more info comes out.

You would hope a recruits family will see the big picture and trust Lane to pick great assistants and not listen to a current staff member who might not be retained. We just hired the biggest name in college football to coach these kids. If they don’t get that, I don’t know what to say.
