More than likely, he has worked out the details with the agents waiting for the coaches to be available after their seasons are completed to formally agree to the terms.

And if that’s true, it’s not a catastrophe. I’d rather he go for the best of the best knowing he might have to wait on them or knowing the chance of prying them away from their current job is small than have him settle for easily attainable targets to satisfy social media.

And you’re wrong about the coping mechanism it’s you and others just looking for something to panic about. The dead period ends something like Jan 10-11 day after the NCG iirc. He really doesn’t need anyone before then. But the NFL coaching carousel hasn’t started yet, that could have ripple effects for potential candidates.
One thing I can assure you is Kelly is not just sitting on his arse or can’t find anyone that’s just narratives impatient fans have made up

Maybe he is watching our team practice and combining that with abilities of recruits and portal players that we obtain and then determining a coordinators who are good at coaching those skill sets.
