What sane person thinks Saban would go to TX? The Yankee is revered like no other in AL. Why would he move at this point in his miserable life?

I'm sure they could pay more in the end but I imagine that LSU would up his salary to keep him and he'll be getting millions regardless.
I don't know shite personally but just based on the feeling that I get from Miles he's grounded (insert grass eating joke here) enough that he extra money wouldn't be the deal breaker.
The only possible scenario would be the attraction of turning Texas into the dominant powerhouse it seems capable of becoming while at LSU it's pretty much just to maintain the status quo.
I'd guess he may "listen" long enough to negotiate something more he may want from LSU and that would be that.

I think Texas would have a better shot a getting Saban from Alabama than Miles from LSU. I think Les is perfectly happy in Baton Rouge and will be there until he retires unless Texas was to offer so much money he couldn't say no. He MIGHT get a hankerin' to try the NFL, but I don't see it.

In reference to money, isn't Miles going to be the highest paid HC in the SEC in about 5 weeks?

what are you a moran? why would 10 million ruin it but 4-5 million doesn't?
Doubling the highest paid coaches salary would be an awful thing for college sports. Its not like they're offering 5.

you know, because you said it

I wonder whose coach CONSISTENTLY skips jobs when Jimmy Sexton finds someone willing to pay more...
That being said, I don't think either Saban or Miles leave for money if they do.
EDIT: I apparently cannot speak the fricking language, and I wanted to add a thought.

You really cant see why UT offering twice the going market rate would be a bad thing for athletic departments all over the country?

Yeah, I honestly don't think he would leave either, but it was funny to hear an actual sports writer/blogger/whatever mention him, when the board has been full of LSU fans screaming about Saban to Texas.

Why would he move at this point in his miserable life?
he is pretty unhappy
maybe he is looking for fulfilment and he could find it somewhere like Austin where they have food and music

Les Miles loses this game the LSU fans will turn on him again. Guaranteed.
UT should make a run for him on Jan. 10th

Why would the guy who runs a TAMU website have any credibility to who UT would look at? IMO I think he may be right about Peterson but I dont think he knows anything other than what the posters in this thread know.
I know I get all my scoop from Tulane websites.
